Title: What are your Pet Peeves?
Post by: Habsfan on October 10, 2010, 09:09:03 PM
...Aside from the obvious Libtards

Just the every day stuff that gets on your nerves.

I can't stand:

Liars
Nose-pickers
Tail-gaters and those who don't use their signal lights
Noisy eaters. Hearing you chew, chomp and slurp grosses me out.
Channel surfers who won't even stop to look and see what's on.
Bad spellers (someone here is driving me nuts and if I quoted this person to fix her posts I would be a hero member by now!)

Other seriously more important stuff but you get the drift.

What are yours?

I have to go along with this.  Close your mouth when you eat.

Messy people. I can't stand to be in a messy house with dogs yapping underfoot. Dogs belong outside. Any dog small enough to be kept indoors should be used as sharkbait. Real men keep big dogs. EOS. (End Of Story)

Bedsheets that aren't tucked in tight.

Windows and glass and mirrors with smudges.

Overflowing ashtrays.

Parasitic people who won't work. A parasite should be crushed under the thumb  so that it no longer sucks on it's host. Parasites are a cancer on the body. You either cure it by treatment or you cut it out and kill it. There are far too many parasites in America today.

Agreed. Any man that won't protect a woman (girlfriend, wife, mother, sister...) is a coward in my eyes.

Yes. I'm a fanatic. A fanatic for what is right.

Co-workers who ask for info and can't wait if it requires more than 10 seconds to find it.

People who interrupt and try to finish sentences/thoughts for the speaker if he/she is trying to make a reasoned response.

People in a work environment (cubicles) making/receiving personal cell phone calls and loudly discussing personal issues on said cellphone.

. . . and many more, all work-related, it seems!

CELL PHONES...especially the hands free type that you can hide with longish hair. You can't tell if they are talking to you or just mentally deranged.

There can not be that many important people in the world needing to recieve that many important messeges that they need to be on their cell phones constantly.

...and just in case you're interested, I don't have one. So, if you see me jabbering to myself in the middle of the WAL-MART parking lot, go ahead and call the little men in white jackets.

I just would like to thank the stations I watch for never ever showing me a commercial for vibrators.  It was bad enough having to explain rubbers, hard on pills, feminine hygiene products, and Depends to my kids.

The garbage men that throw my bins in the street after dumping them.

Stores that take back worn underware and put them back on the rack for resale. Victoria's Secrets in town was caught doing that. YUCK, and the next buyer wonders how they caught the crabs.

Wait staff that handles cash and serves your plate with the same hands.

Dirty restrooms in expensive restaurants.

Coworkers that ask personal questions and when you ask why they need to know tell you they are "Just Curious"

Doctors and nurses that go from patient to patient with out clean gloves or washing their hands.

People in some kind kind of craft on the water that throw trash overboard.

Parents that take their pre teen kids to the mall dressed like a hooker or bad boy.

People that leave their dogs chained to a dog house in the winter. GRRRR.

Puppy Mills, in the Midwest.

Lots of human activity out there that is unacceptable, Grave yards that are desecrated, on and on and on.

Good Morning America did a story on this. I'll quote the money shot: (http://abcnews.go.com/GMA/gma-found-clothes-clean/story?id=9482373)There was flora, or bacteria, on several items.

"On this black and tan blouse we found representation of respiratory secretions, skin flora, and some fecal flora," Tierno said.

On a jacket, Tierno discovered evidence of feces, skin flora and respiratory secretions, especially in the armpit and "close to the buttocks," Tierno said.

The biggest surprise came when Tierno tested a silk blouse.

There, he said, he found vaginal organisms, yeast and more fecal germs.

cell phone yappers. These are defined as those people who insist on yapping on the phone while they're driving. They're usually too wrapped up in their conversation to understand just how clueless they are about what's going on around them.

Cigarette smoke. I absolutely hate it.

Communities where everything revolves around friggin' college football/basketball/sports in general. Jesus H. Tapdancin' Christ, it's just NOT THAT IMPORTANT!

People at work who think the company owes 'em a living. I've seen WAAAAAAAAY more of that than I care to.

Vehicles that have 6,000 watts of energy coursing out of 658 speakers inside them. Not only does the whole damned vehicle shake, but everything within a half a block does too. Here's a news flash for those who have invested more money in their GD car stereo than their house - not everybody wants to hear your "music", champ. And you'll be the first dumb bastard at the age of 27 who complains because your hearing is permanently damaged.

People who put every waking thought on Facebook. You're just not that important. Do us a favor and get yourself a diary and write yourself little notes.

My dryer is not hot enough to kill some of the nasty bugs, do I have to have my clothing from underware to dresses  to be dry cleaned?

When I buy at a consignment store or Good Will there is that same problem, I expect the goods to be clean but those I do wash on the 70 minute cycle of hot water-----Unless I buy a camel hair, or wool suit and that is dropped off at the dry cleaners on the way home.

Underware is something else, socks and skivies I buy in sealed plastic rap, what the hell, the sports skivies that are cut to the hip in most cases are great for every day wear.

No way will I buy underware that is hanging on a rack, unprotected from handling by others, coughed or sneezed on.

Whole new world out there in the last few years, all the Alians with no vaccations for any darn thing coming into the country, sure we have been vaccinated but when was the last time you knew of anyone tested for TB, or given a shot for Small Pox.?

What fun, you try on a shirt in a dressing room and the last person had Shingles and open sores.

Alright... you asked for it.

- Tailgaters (not party people at football games... bad drivers)
- Snoring
- Loud stereo systems in a community
- Having to repeat myself more than once (listen the FIRST time)
- Selective hearing
- Geico commercials
- Finger prints on screens, windows, etc
- Driving too slow
- Ke$ha
- Cars that "drive" for you (see Mercedes-Benz)
- The shrill voice of Heidi Harris (Local Las Vegas talk show host who recently filled in for Jerry Doyle)
- Saying "EXCUSE ME" rudely while in a store when you could have just said "excuse me" nicely
- Men who do not hold the door open (doesn't bother me so much when women do it)
- People who drive with their brights/high beams on when it's not necessary.
- Glen Lerner (he's a lawyer in the Las Vegas/Phoenix area and his radio ads & TV commercials are very annoying)
- Not knowing the difference between "your" and "you're"
- Also not knowing the difference between "there", "their" and "they're"

There are so many more things that get under my skin.

Don't I just sound like a fun person to hang out with?  lol

I agree. Especially idiots that think they are so important they must talk on their phone while they are in the john. I'd like to take the cell phone away from them, tell the person on the other end that his buddy is busy engaging in gay sex, and then throw it down the toilet. The ones that really get me are the idiots that are talking on the phone in the checkout line at the grocery store and the conversation is soooo important they cannot be bothered to pay the bill while the rest of us are standing there waiting to get checked out. That is just flat out rude.

People who can't finish a damn sentence before starting a new one.  A relative of my husband's is this way; she will have five or six dangling phrases going before she gets to the point of her story, by which time I could give a damn. :fuelfire:

Unsafe drivers.  Hubby, me and grandson almost got into a fiery wreck on the highway coming back to SV yesterday.  Some ****ing bitch cut in front of our car with maybe a foot to spare, while we were all traveling at 80 mph.  I KNOW she heard the horn blasting for a minute afterwards, and I hope to hell she saw me give her the  :bird:over and over again.  We really are lucky to be here in one piece today.

People who can never be on time, nor call to let you know they'll be late.  Rude, inconsiderate people in general.

Telemarketers.  I know they gotta make a living, but sheesh, everyone manages to find an angle to work off of despite the no call list.  Much better now that I turned off the landline though.

Cold or lukewarm food in a restaurant.  Crappy service in same.

People who don't understand that my cats and dogs are members of my family.

Lots of other pet peeves, but that oughta do it for now. :evillaugh:

I almost had one a couple weeks ago.  I was driving through town on Highway 31 (doing the speed limit) when some ass in the turning lane decides he/she was going to get back into traffic without looking.  I'm glad I didn't crash into the car next to me while swerving out of her way.  I'm extra glad the horn on this new car works.

I had a typo for almost, typing also instead.
Drivers around here are a bunch of inattentive fools.  Same can be said for everywhere else stateside.  Germanic drivers are fast, but very good!  They pay dearly for the privilege of owning a car and driving it.  I wish we had a better testing system here to weed out the idiots.
Glad you didn't wreck. :cheersmate:

I agree.  America is sorely lacking in driving education.  I've read about Germany's multi-tier licensing program and I think it's a good idea.  Too many people take driving for granted here.  Personally, I think everyone should be forced to drive in traffic with a manual transmission until they've mastered it, but that's just me.

Nothing like being stuck in rush hour traffic on the interstate with a heavy clutch and a 5-speed.

Bottom line, if you can't raise the level of the lake by at least 6 inches, you haven't been drinking enough.

Eh, usually you get at least 5 extra beers out of that level from the women only drinking about half of their allotment.

A 10 beers-per-person rule of thumb is usually a safe estimate on quantity needed.

Not in Texas, brutha.

Case per person is more accurate.    RULE # 1 WHEN IT COMES TO BEER, ENOUGH IS NEVER ENOUGH

OK, I just thought of this peeve getting ready for work this morning . . .

Why can't women's sizes be uniform, for cripe's sake?????  Why can someone try on 'X' number of pants, the same style and size from different manufacturers, and more than half of them are either too small or too large??  :hammer:

It makes me crazy (or crazier, depending)!

It's not even a guarantee that the same style/size from the same label will be the same.

YES!  :hi5:  I have two pairs of jeans from the same lable, listed the same size & style (color is different) and one pair is too small.  <grrrrrr>

Exactly. That's why I've bought the same brand and style of jeans for the last decade. I know if I get the same size, they'll always fit.

That isn't always the case for me. I am not sure if it has to do with each jean is handmade, but I've bought 2 pairs of the exact jean, in the exact same size, and one is much bigger than the other. Sucks!!

Also, many men's pants have waist and length. May women's don't. You can sometimes find short/regular/long, but even that is funky.

Why are womens jeans more expensive than mens, even when by buying the same brand and style?

My biggest problem with buying jeans is the different cuts.  I prefer straight-legged jeans but I have no idea what the different cuts mean.  As a result, I ended up buying at least three pairs that are way too baggy and loose.

Which would explain why the only jeans I've owned (aside from Navy dungarees) are Levi's 501's.  Yeah, they're pricey.  But I know what I'm getting, and I like how they fit.

ARRRRRG, men and boys that wear jeans with the crotch 3-4 inches below their, errr, manhood.

I have yet to see a male wearing dress pants  that make it look like their butt has shrunk 5 sizes.

Unless at the beach, those tank tops the sleeveless ones men wear with arm pit hair flapping in the breeze makes me wonder how they would feel if woman stopped shaving their pits and did the same.

Ball caps on males in public over 40 years of age, damn, even little girls wear them, time to buy a big boys hat.

Mrs. Godot moving things from one spot in the house to another, me then not being able to find them, and her later saying “well, I put them where they belong.” Oh yeah? And who made you Lord of All Storage Space Designations, honey? I say the hammers belong in the hall closet.

People leaving the tv or radio on in the background when I’m on the phone with them. Not only is that rude and classless, but I can’t even understand how they can stand to carry on a conversation that way.

People who won’t let you off the phone, even when you’re grunting in monosyllables.

People who carry on ultra-long phone conversations. These are almost always women. Say what needs to be said and end it.

People who park right up to the edges of driveways—leaving no clearance for the driveway owners—even when there’s plenty of room behind them.

Silly misspellings on Fox News banners.

Cash register workers who always seem to pick ME as the guy who has to wait while they count the draw. No, never the people with 3 full carts, it’s got to be ME, with my 10-15 items.

Tradesmen/repairmen who make appointments, don’t show up, AND don’t call to let you know that they’re going to have to break the appointment. I’ve likely taken a half day off just for this, or laid aside a good portion of the day for them. Of course, no one gets to pull that on me a second time.

Any wanton cruelty to animals (I don’t mean hunting). Vesta’s chained dogs in the winter also piss me off bigtime. Also people who leave their dogs chained up in the rain, and in the worst heat of summer with no water and to be tortured by flies; I saw this being done to a friendly-as-you-could-want Pit Bull after he playfully wrecked a flower bed; then the owners chained the poor animal up; great, not just cruelty, but, hey, why don’t we madden a friendly member of a sometimes dicey breed while we’re at it? (I reported this, by the way.) People who throw things at cats, as if a little yowling at night is worth hurting them. People who put down POISON for cats. I’d like to force feed it to those bastards.

Recycling. At all. I can remember when there was none, as I’m sure most of you can, and damnit, what the hell am I paying my taxes for? You (city managers) want the garbage sorted, YOU sort it; I pay A LOT of city tax and property tax and you can damn well take my garbage mixed any way I want it.

Can you imagine it, Soleil? That these people thought a lousy flower bed was worth punishing their dog this way? In perpetuity? To his slow death?

I reported what was going on, as I wrote, but I have a strong suspicion that they killed that poor dog. He disappeared one day early in August--after his condition deteriorated over months of this mistreatment, the whole summer just passed--and I never saw the ASPCA. I think that dog, who I watched become physically and mentally worse, was killed slowly by his owners.

When he was free, he always ran up to me when I walked by, and wagged his tail, and put his head out for a pet and scratch. Poor guy. He'd have stood a better chance as a stray than tied up as he was, always exposed and barely cared for. I should have jumped that fence and cut him free.

It is disgusting. I tried to rescue my mother's neighbor's dog. They kept it chained up. she would get tangled around the tree. seh could never reach her dog house. The woman just threw a cup full of food over the fence. Most of the food the dog couldn't reach. My dad fed her all of their table scraps. I offered to take the dog. They wouldn't let me have her. I never once saw them play with her. The only love she ever got was from my parents (and me when I went home) . I reported them 3 times. Nothing. I thought about stealing the dog, but my better sense took over. They ended up taking her to the pound, where I am  sure she was put down. AND I OFFERED TO TAKE THE DOG. It pisses me off to no end.

Just wondering here because I am kind of confused.  I have my dog on a 30' light weight cable in the front yard.  She has an outside doggy bed in the middle of the driveway because that is where she likes to sleep, clean water, a covered porch when it rains, chew toys, and rawhides out there with her.  She has a schedule she likes and spends most daylight hours outside (except in winter).  Is that cruel?  I didn't think of it as cruel but I am dense sometimes.

I don't want to say that you are cruel to your pet. I wouldn't do that, but then again all of my pets are indoor pets, until they want to go outside (fenced in of course). What you describe is nothing like I saw next door to my parents. This dog was always tangled up, couldn't reach her food OR water, and no attention EVER. However, I do believe dogs need plenty of running space. I had a cable wire that you could put in the ground. I would use that when we lived at an apartment and cooked out when my doggie wanted to be outside with us. She flopped around like a fish at first, but then she got used to it after a while. But I only used that for 30 or so minutes.

And yes Evil Conservative, these people had kids. The mother was terrified (and I mean TERRIFIED) of dogs. I am not sure who talked her into getting this dog, but she went with it. This was a yellow beautiful lab. This same woman freaked out when we had a puppy outside. The puppy (brand-new pup) scared her. They had no business ever getting a dog.  I hope they learned their lesson. Poor dog. Too bad she was the lesson.

My county passed an ordinance that requires you to have your dog on a chain, a leash or in a pen at all times.....damn cats are free to climb on you car/truck at all time though.

I love dogs but don't have one any more. Keeping a yard dog, family pet confined/chained just doesn't sit well with me.

Vesta, ask your husband about ball caps. After all, they ARE part of the Navy working uniform..

With all the changes in the military I would not be surprised to find the work uniform is now allowed to be worn OFF base.

Another pet peeve of mine is men and boys that do not remove their cover when they enter a home, restaurant, Church, funeral or wedding.

Sitting in a Chiefs club many years ago I had noticed a beautiful brass bell hanging above the bar.   As I was speaking to Hubby I noticed the bar keep running flat out to ring the bell.  Every one at the bar let out a loud cheer.  What the heck was going on, seems a Chief had walked in, seen an old shipmate and had forgotten to remove his hat.

He had to buy the bar a round of drinks for that tradition.

Navy brat, wife and mother to lonely sailors away from home for the first time, I realised the power of keeping the traditions alive.

With out tradition to follow there is confusion in life.

I get all upset when the National Anthem is played and grown men keep their hats on, I have finally realised that there are thousands of men and boys out there that never had a mother to teach them proper behavior.

We no longer teach respect for others or anything and the tipping of a hat to show respect for a woman is long gone.

They're kind of a cross between the dungaree uniform and the uniforms of the 70s. And now they're going to some sort of blue camo. Blue Camo?!?!?!?  Seriously?? What are they camouflaging themselves from?? The ocean ?!?!?!? I wonder what the "floatability" of the new camo uniforms is??

Dogs have to be contained in my county as well. But most people have fenced in back yards. We have a fenced in back yard and a doggie door. My dog goes out as he pleases. We also walk him to make sure he gets his exercise. He's a big ole dog and needs plenty of exercise. He's gotten a little chunky. And by chunky, I totally mean fat.

Nope.  haha

I do not have perfect grammar, but those two things really bug me.  Not sure why, probably because it's such an elementary school thing.  Everyone should know the difference.

You're right. This isn't exactly advanced linguistics. I think reading too many bad posts online has debased my standards.

You know what else bugs me? Ever watch Judge Judy? The litigants keep using the pluperfect instead of the simple past out of, I suppose, some idiotiic idea that saying "I had deposited the money" makes the statement somehow deniable in some judicial sense, which is pure dopiness if that's what they're thinking--it's too prevalent to just be bad education. Use the simple past, idiots! Arg! Say it with me now...say it...I know you can do it..."I deposited the money." Good, that was good. Now we're going to practice our not-saying-had drills.

OH NO, foghorn has something against men that wear skirts and dresses.

If the sight of a fat man in a skirt offends you, stay out of Hawaii, those Samoans wearing their lava-lava skirts bare chested will make you blind for a few hours.

The Scott and the Irish with their mini skirts called Kilts, don't pick a fight with them man, they will make Haggis out of YOU.

Arabs wear long dresses as do Priests and the Monks in Asia.

What branch of the Muslim faith do you dislike, they have as many sects and off shoots as the Christian faith.

Indonesia has as many Muslims  as most anywhere in the world.  How come the majority of them are peacefull and as unalike from the Middle Eastern faith as The Quakers are from the holey Rollers with their snakes etc.

Sorry Fog Horn, you come off as a closed minded person who 150 years would be firm in the belief that the only good Indian is a dead Indian.

Supposedly it is to extend the life of the uniform because the paint splatter doesn't show as much. I got out right before I would have been forced to buy them.

My issue lately is with some military wives. First you don't have rank, your husband does. Second just because I have only been a mil wife for less than two years does not mean I know nothing about the military. The next one that wants to comment on the fact that I have been a mil wife for less time than you I am going to slap you with my DD214.

Putting a dirty dish in the sink instead of cleaning it when I've just gotten finished cleaning the kitchen.

Watching TV with a man who has a remote control in his hand. I swear last weekend my husband was sitting there switching between the Green Channel and the Military Channel...and I'm the one who's bipolar.

People who don't know the difference between to, two, and too or their, there, and they're.

People who get impatient with old people walking across the street or parking lot (I always think it could be my sweet 92 year old Nana who's fiercely independent but needs a walker to get around) and really is it that big a deal to wait a little bit longer?

People who treat their chihuahuas like their children (my dad and the wicked witch of the west coast he's married to actually feed their dogs out of their mouths, YUCK!)...with the exception of the above mentioned Nana who's little Sammy is the light of her life and gives her a companion since she lives alone.

Hairballs because they're always spewed on furniture, clothes, or somewhere else inconvenient instead of linoleum where a paper towel and a wipe with my Swiffer Wet Jet would clean things quickly.

People who let their children interrupt when you're having a conversation with them...manners should be taught early. Well, unless someone broke their arm or something.

People with those stupid coexist bumper stickers...as if we're not all doing that anyway, really it's just a liberal status symbol.

Finding an egg in my clean laundry basket, thus realizing a chicken has managed to come in through the cat door and park her ass in my clean laundry necessitating the rewashing of the top few clothes.

I can't stand liberal sportswriters who think that they're also political commentators.  Mike Lupica of the NY Daily News is a prime example of this.  He started out by taking little potshots at Bush, Cheney, Limbaugh, Giuliani, and other Republicans in his "Shooting From The Lip" Sunday column.  Then, a couple of years ago, some genius at the Snooze decided to give him a Monday column.  So now we are "treated" to his thoughts on politics and current events every Monday.  It's pretty much the same column every week:  Bush destroyed the country, Cheney had 5 Vietnam deferments, Limbaugh is an idiot, Beck is an idiot, Obama is God.  He has a serious man-crush on Obama -- after the '08 election he even compared the guy to Jackie Robinson!  And, as you might expect, he HATES Sarah Palin.  Conservative women in general seem to grate on him.  In recent weeks he's slammed Governor Jan Brewer and Christine O'Donnell.  But Sarah is a real burr under his saddle.  Every time he mentions her name, I can almost hear his testicles retreating into his body.  His political thoughts are about as deep as a driveway puddle.  He must have some serious blackmail photos of the Snooze's publishers -- I can't think of any other reason for them giving him this column.

Blast calls/texts.

Listen, ****ers--I don't want to reduce the rates on my credit cards.  I don't need a home security system.  I don't need a loan consolidation.  I don't want your text alerts for $9.99 per month.  I certainly don't ****ing need payday loans of up to $1000 in Spanish.

By the way, does it bother you anal warts that you're calling someone on the FTC "do-not call" list, yet do it anyway?  Of course it doesn't.  Because the numbers on your caller ID are typically spoofs, and the one time I did get through to a "customer service" person, I was told it was legal for them to text me because, (and I wish I was making this up) "It's a text, not a call, so it's legal."

Now this wouldn't ordinarily be the biggest issue to me, except for one small thing--this is my CELL PHONE.  Every time you shit-sucking wastes of protoplasm call or text me, it costs ME money.  Leave a voicemail?  Same thing, having to go through and delete them like so many chunks of dried puke from the edge of the bowl after a Saturday night at the bar.

Actually, there's TWO reasons--I'm currently a day-sleeper.  I work 12 hour nights, from 6 PM to 7 AM (1/2 hour for lunch, 1/2 hour for turnover).  This means I get back to the hotel at about 7:30, and get up by 5.  That means that in order to get 6-7 hours of sleep, I need to be in bed by 10-11 at the latest, or get up no earlier than 3.  Do the math, and this means that phone call you send me anywhere between 9 AM and 4:30 PM WAKES ME THE **** UP.

Would you diseased inbred mouth-breathers like it if I called YOU in the middle of the night?  I should, just to be an evil ****er and see how you like it.  Frankly, I'd rather a few of you get nailed pulling this shit and do a perp walk to be Bubba's bitch for a few centuries, in order to curb the explosion of calls that people have been getting of late.

It's to the point now that even in the best of circumstances, I don't answer the phone for a call from a number I don't immediately recognize.  Thanks, assholes.  Now, pretty please, all of you go ****ing die in a ****ing fire.

Now pretty please, all of you go ****ing die in a ****ing fire.

If you are on a do not call list for your cell phone, call your phone provider.

They can send you a letter, but I'm pretty sure that they cannot text you because it still uses your cell phone.

Verizon lets you block up to 10 numbers....

Sending you a  as I know you are probably going through lobster withdrawal out there in Iowa.

Meh.  Gets just as cold at home, only about 2-3 days after Iowa gets it.

And no, I'm not missing the lobsters yet.  The pork tenderloin sandwiches they have here almost make up for it.  ALMOST.

Problem is, these spoof callers usually hit once or twice, then switch numbers, so blocking 10 numbers is like cleaning up a flood with a Q-Tip.

We lived in West Des Moines when I was a kid. We had a ranch house with a walkout basement, with full size windows across the back side. I remember every winter, that we would have snow drifts up to the windows on the main level.

As far as your phone callers go, I think you can still report them to your cell server. It's harassment if you are on a donot call list. As a realtor, we are constantly warned about calling numbers on DNC lists....

Awww come on, Sparkster, where's your sense of humor??

When I had Nextel (now Sprint), i started received spam texts. I called them and complained. They stopped after the second call. My Verizon number is on the DO Not Call list (both for landlines and cells). Remarkably, I don't get any unsolicited texts or calls.

People in a work environment (cubicles) making/receiving personal cell phone calls and loudly discussing personal issues on said cellphone.

"Business casual" and the abuses in which it's resulted. "Professional" people coming to work dressed as if they're going to a riot. I just avoid "business casual" altogether and let the slobs' appearances speak for themselves! I had another pet peeve, but I took it to the vet and had it put to sleep.

I agree about the dress code.  I'm an accountant and I have my "accounting clothes."  These include heels and hose and all the rest.  People wearing flip flops in a work environment drive me crazy.  I never did the jeans/casual Fridays and probably some people thought I was a snob.  I don't care.

Off to have my hair done. Bye, all!

Did I mention people emerging from a side street who pull in front of me when I'm driving for apparently no other purpose than to go much slower than I am?*

And let's add dumbasses who basically slam on brakes to let them over on the interstate. Happened to me today, and I almost got rear-ended by a big ass truck because some dumbass thought it would be better to slam on brakes on the interstate so someone could get over. They had plenty of time to get over, yet this person almost caused a freakin pile up. And if I would've been ok had it happened, I would've BEAT THEIR ASS.

How about an idiot, hitting an exit ramp on an interstate highway onto a major thoroughfare, coming to a full stop ON the exit ramp to let some pedestrians (yes, PEDESTRIANS crossing an INTERSTATE!) to cross the ramp rather than letting them wait? Once happened to me and I damn near ran right UP the ass of that assclown! THERE ARE RULES OF THE ROAD FOR A REASON. Another time, on a very busy state highway several lanes across in either direction, I saw another assclown in the center lane STOP at a GREEN LIGHT with TRAFFIC PILED UP BEHIND HIM to allow someone in an electric wheelchair, who was safe enough on the median, to cross! The wheelchair person waved him off, but a couple of cars behind the assclown, one driver rear-ended another all because of one idiots good intentions that, in fact, violated the law! GREEN means GO!

Absolutely on the traffic peeves.  The people who think they're being a "nice guy" and suspend the rules of the road, to perhaps let someone make a lefthand turn or somesuch.  People have to be able to rely on fairly strict behavior out there, to avoid having all of us in a pileup.  Just drive, and mind your own damn business!

On left turning--and you've definitely picked one that pisses me off, fools who hold up the flow of traffic to let someone turn left and really are inviting accidents--add the inconsiderate dopes in front of you who are turning left, have room on the right to let you get around, and refuse to pull up and to the left just a bit more to make room.

RIGHT turners who don't understand what "accelerate at the midpoint of your turn" means.

I don't know if this is a peeve, but people who just blow away stop signs scare the crap out of me.

No peeve....just a teenage memory.

Everybody knew Miss Hattie didn't stop for that stop sign. ....and where the bypass and main road merged, Miss Hattie had the right-of-way no matter which road she was on. ....and don't say they should have taken her license, she never had any.

Miss Hattie was well into her 90's when she died of natural causes. She had spent the last 30 years of her life sitting with and taking care of the elderly, disabled, sick and dying....who were usually 20/30 years younger than she.

I don't do stuff like that unless someone else is driving like a complete asshole.  I will not go 90mph to pass someone.  My cruise is set around 73 mph.  I'll attempt to pass at that speed, if I cannot, I get back into the middle lane and let anyone behind me go around.  Had that woman been less of a bitch, I would have gotten over.

In 1936 Studebaker had what they called the "hill holder". When you stopped on an incline you could take your foot off the brakes and they would hold until you released the clutch and went forward. They also came out with self adjusting brakes that year.

I had that same problem until I fixed my emegency brake.  :-)

When I was first taught to drive a school bus the company had only stick in their fleet.

One of our tests was to drive a bus to this hill that was so steep it reminded me of driving the streets of San Francisco.

At the very top of the hill the nose of the bus was so high in the air the driver could not see the road for the decent.  To pass the test we had to hold the bus at the top of the hill using only the clutch, no break allowed.

We had to ease off the clutch to move forward and only given a --2 inch back roll--and no gunning the gas.

Mind you this was not an empty bus but one filled with students, the adults at the school and the DMV personal that decided if one was going to get their license to drive 50+ kids to school and back. This was in Norfork Va. and the company gave us free reign to drive the bus with an instructor as much as we we wanted to for 8 days before the written and driving test for DMV.

Anyone who has lived or visited Tidewater VA. knows about the tunnel system there, rather narrow for a bus with mirrors that stick out 2+feet.

We spent hours driving through those tunnels keeping the back tire on the yellow line, with only perhaps a 3 inch clearance from the mirror to the side of the tunnel.

By golly we learned to parell park these big rigs between two other buses with only a 6 inch clearance from those in front and those in back.

I guess looking back the worse thing was for me when Hubby and I were at the O Club on base and some one asked me what I did for a job I would perk right up and with pride tell them I was a school bus driver and Hubby would look down embarrassed as if I had said I cleaned restrooms at the bus station.

It was that every day twice a day I brought 100 children aged 6-8 from their homes to school, then drove in the inner city for a highschool a bunch of drugged up gang members from home to school and back again with no problems, a huge responsibility for a bus driver, having the lives of all those kids in my hands was something that to others placed me under a worker that sat all day in an office.

Had I said I was a day care worker in a job that cared for children of working parents, ----Good for you, hard job.

But I was just that unknown person that transported their kids in all kinds of weather to and from school, responsible for the kids that had health problems I knew nothing about, facing unknown mental problems or kids with weapons in that small space--

Sorry folks, I have gone not only off topic but one thing lead to another here.  It is stuff from the past that led me to remembering the frustrations we all face in life.

Having a bad day here, as you may guess.

Pet peeve here it is,   putting down someone who has a job that one cannot or want to do and attaching negative feeling for that job.

Yacht club in this area had a fit when a Doctor married a woman that was a very skilled hair dresser.   I asked my Mom why the problem and she told me that no one wants to socialise with their barber.

There are two intersections I drive through daily that are stop for straight through traffic, but stop not required for right turn. Sure as shit every day I get behind one clueless numb-nuts that sees a car on the left of the intersection AT THE FREAKING STOP SIGH WHICH DOES NOT HAVE THE RIGHT OF WAY, and the dumb Prius/Volvo/mini-van driver idiot in front of me will STOP and wave the person on the left through. Confuses the shit out of everyone, all traffic stops, then the Mexican/Polish stand-off ensues...until three minutes on my horn blasting motivates the idiot in front of me to come back to reality and realize they need to get the frack moving.
Then *I* get the finger?????

Out side of the shop that is, they'll tell ya' anything while their sitting in the chair LOL...my wife ihas a beauty shop.

Really...I let anyone going faster than me, pass, easily; and then I follow them! I hate getting stuck behind semis, other than that, I live in a small town, so I don't suffer traffic as some of you do.

My city is rather small (25000). However, there is a main highway that goes it (more like around it, nowadays) It's the continuation of Interstate 45 from Houston to Dallas, which turns into Highway 75 in Dallas. It goes clear up into Northern Oklahoma and is used by TONS of truckers (I guess that's because the scales are normally closed) Between the damned Okies  and the truckers, they make it painful to drive around here. Then, we have a TON of old folks (70+) that shouldn't even be allowed to drive.

There is a great one (awful) that I see around here a lot. It is a rag top, and the rag top is all this fake Louis Vuitton. It looks like the classic Louis Viutton purses, but it is the rag top. It is terrible. And the inside is covered in all brown fur (I pulled next to him at a stop light). Of course he proceeded to make the car go up and down  or whatever it is they do with their shocks to make their cars move all wrong. Ok, we know that Louis Vuitton doesn't sell rag tops, so that is FAKE and the rest was trying so hard I felt sorry for him...Almost.

The other was this electric glitter green FORD Taurus that had the emblems changed out to a Mercedes. Ok, you ain't fooling anybody. That is a Taurus.  :rotf: :rotf: :rotf:

Rich!? You don't wanna be rich to do that!

I was as broke as I'd ever been and driving a huge gas sucking old 426 ci Thunderturd nose to nose traffic into OKC every day, stop and start BS all the way, once coming up to this huge CF of bridges and over passes and we have to jam on our brakes, that heavy ol' Bird took a little extra care in stopping and I scared the guy in front odf me in his new Honda Accord and he flips me off, so I run him off the road continously with my tank...I didn't care, and my tank was incredibly fast drove like a dream! ..anyway.. i figured I better move away from that kind of traffic ..so know I live n the middle of nowhere and eek out a livng in peace !

I suppose my pet peeve is.....the demise of Western Electric.....

For the younger folks, Western Electric was, for nearly eighty years, the manufacturing division of AT&T.  In short, they built telephones.......billions of telephones over eight decades, and EVERY ONE OF THEM was designed and manufactured so that virtually every person could carry on a conversation over their product, reliably and understandably.

Yeah, they were ofttimes clunky, ugly,  and not exactly state-of-the-art, but they worked well every damn time that you used one, and it was not uncommon to find one still in use that was over half a century old.

Today's telephones are garbage!

I really don't care who makes them, in at least 75% of the phone conversations that I encounter, the instrument on the other end either garbles, overmodulates, undermodulates, distorts, attenuates, or otherwise turns normal speech into something that is barely intelligible.  It doesn't matter whether the phone is a landline or cellular, whoever is making them has no concept of what a phone is supposed to accomplish.

And don't get me started on VOIP.....

It's perfectly okay to be pissed off when addressing somebody else's pet peeve. After all, this is a thread on pet peeves.

But chris is the kinda guy who means it in fun. Most of the time, that is!  :-)

This one may already have been said, but it bears repeating:

One of my many pet peeves is the dolt, usually a woman, who waits unti every ******* item in her three overflowing shopping carts is scanned, bagged, and in her freaking carts before lifting her 30 lb. purse up to the conveyor, digging through the 375 items that are scattered throughout said purse, finding her wallet, opening her wallet and sorting through 47 credit and debit cards to find the one that she simply HAS to use, then running the card through the scanner and punching all of the requisite buttons - one at a time, very slowly and very carefully because she reads at a 3rd grade level, only to **** the whole thing up and have to start all over again.

This is the kind of person one finds at Wal-Mart. She weighs 342 lbs., wears spandex, has tats of flowers on her ankle (which resembles a tree trunk), and whose hair needs an oil change, not a shampoo. Every tooth in her head is rotten and she smells bad.

What's worse than that is the person that stupidly stands there waiting to pay their bill when the groceries are sitting there waiting for them to bag them.  The grocery stores are the bag your own type that we go to.  Then there are those using the their state issued debit card for some things and then have a second load that they pay with cash for.

Oh yeah...a version of this...what I'd put in the general category of"not being ready to transact business while others are waiting in line behind you"...just got a dose of that at the drive thru at the bank....some dingbat making her deposit slips after she  gets her turn at the window.

I dislike it when people mispronounce Nevada.  It's like pronouncing the 's' on Illinois.

Nevada Kedavra!  (zzzzap)

I would be remiss, along these same lines not to mention the asshole that checks out in the "express lane", over which is a large sign stating "10 items or less, cash, credit, or debit cards only"...........and proceeds to purchase nineteen items, and write a check for them.........

People who fly foreign flags--from their cars or home, it doesn't matter. My neighbor flies an Italian flag and that's wrong and pisses me off; ditto all the Mexican and Puerto Rican flags I see. Go frackin' home if you don't want to fly the American flag!

I regret to have to point out that the flag of the US Territory of Puerto Rico is as Ameican as that of the State of Tennessee.

I'm with you on actual foreign flags, though.

I would have to disagree with you on that. Puerto Rico is not a state and doesn't send congressmembers and senators. More importantly, the people who fly it fly it with the specific purpose of accentuating their Hispanic heritage--not state/commonwealth pride and loyalty--over their loyalty to the Stars and Stripes. That makes it equivalent to a foreign flag in my land of peeves.

Okay, fine (on statehood).  But the people who are born there-- and live there and die there without ever having left-- are as much US citizens as the people of North Dakota.  Someone who shows you a long form birth certificate registered in Vieques has shown you better proof of Presidential eligibility than has the 44th POTUS.

Puerto Ricans today = Alaskans in 1958.  And COTUS 1A says they can be as vocally and symbolically proud of being Hispanic as GWB can of being Texan, and with more cause.

I can't say I agree with that. You don't see that people who fly the Puerto Rican flag are calling to attention, not their regional pride (as would have been true of Alaskans in your example), but their trans-Hispanic pride?

In fact it looks to me as if you're conceding that--you write "proud of being Hispanic as GWB can of being Texan." But people who took and take pride in Texas, or the Alaskans in your example, were and are not asserting a foreign identity or heritage, but a purely regional one. That's a big difference, to me.

I can only reiterate that the flag is that of a US Territory, a copy of which stands in the US Capitol along with those of the 50 states, Guam, the US Virgin Islands etc.; that the people are US Citizens by birthright, with several of whom I have served in the US Army in peace and war; that whatever ethnic pride they feel is no more foreign than that of the Irish, Dutch, Scots (I are one), Italians, Tligit, Yupik, and Navajo-descended Americans; and that they cannot (even if they wish) assert a foreign identity or heriage, becaue both are American.  They are as American as fourth-generation Tejanos, who look and sound Mexican to the culturally biased.

Yes, there are those who wish PR no longer to be part of the US.  That too, is their right; the issue comes up for a vote from time to time, and should the vote ever be sufficient, the US is obligated to grant independence.  Likewise, the vote being sufficient, the US may grant statehood.  For decades, however, the vote has been to maintain the status of a territory.  Those who protest that condition in lawful ways can at worst be thought of as campaigning until the next vote.

If you wish to assert that they pledge allegiance to an actual foreign power (i.e. Mexico or Guatemala), please provide evidence thereof.

In some sense, I assert exactly that, although not, strictly speaking, to a foreign government. And I need provide no proof for what is plain as day. Puerto Ricans are NOT flying the Puerto Rican flag, primarily, as a gesture of pride in Puerto Rico, as are the people who fly the flag of Texas or California or any other state. They are doing so to assert their pride in a different ethnic heritage, one that crosses US boundaries, and THAT is a DELIBERATE gesture of disloyalty to the United States. Think what you will.

Hold on a second!  I did that throughout the middle school years, back when we had to pass notes instead of texting.  I figured the girl I was breaking up with wasn't listening to metal anyway, so I could pull it off.  And I did.  Including a poem for my 9th grade english class.  I titled it "Indians" and all I did was quote the first verse of Iron Maiden's "Run to the Hills".  I got an "A" and she asked what inspired me to write it.  Thank goodness she didn't ask me to read it in front of the class because most of the guys in the class would have known and ratted me out.

Oh, the good times of quoting song lyrics as your own!  So I completely disagree with you and I challenge you to do it at least once in the upcoming weekend.  Once you pull it off one time, your hooked!  It becomes a game you can play with your buddies.  Truly good fun!!

And, if you do accept the challenge, you have to report back about what song you chose to quote and how it worked out.  Each situation demands a different song.  It really is fun.

Sort of off-topic, but I really like your photo juxtaposition of Mussolini and Obama. I'm sure all of us recognized he was a totalitarian/autocrat long before the '08 election--constitutionalists/conservatives can practically smell 'em--but I've made the Mussolini/Obama comparison myself, and have thought this comparison is often overlooked. I like seeing it in someone's sig, knowing someone else was thinking along the same lines. Hi5!

That's been happening for a while. It started with the cartoons and some TV shows back in the late 80s, then migrated to Primetime w/ the Simpsons and has further migrated to TV shows and commercials.  :argh:  The problem arose with people treating children like small adults.

Damn, I've got a headache.  :thatsright:

Mrs. E's big one is when a picture or a wall hanging is slightly crooked. Drives her nuts until it's fixed.  :lmao:

One of my peeves is when some yahoo, usually someone who doesn't know one end of his instrument from another, comes wandering into a rehearsal late. That person invariably interrupts what's going on until he/she gets "situated". I'd like to situate my hand upside his head.

I can't hang a picture straight to save my soul, and no matter what, I leave streaks on the glass when I clean mirrors.  Drives the BF nuts so he has to "fix" it when he comes over.   :-)

Use less cleaner.  I used to over-spray and spent more time cleaning up the extra cleaner than I did cleaning the glass.

You guys and your cleaning fetishes. I mean, gosh and golly gee.

I take my towel after my shower and wipe the mirror - it does a good job knocking the bits I've flossed out of my teeth off the mirror at the same time. No bits, no streaks.

Yes, that was it, although I meant "Don't Ask Don't Tell What Electrical Currnet Iassa Uses"--bringing in DADT on the other meaning of AC/DC (bisexual), but applying it to the electricity.

And now that I've beaten that thoroughly into the ground...

Y'all are really weird with your light switches and pencil line-ups.  ::)

I am not nearly as neurotic as any of you....I only have my closet, drawers, armoire and kitchen pickiness.

My shirts are organized by sleeve length, everything is color-ranged from white to black, like a prism. Shoes too. This is merely done to make it easy to go to the item I am looking for. Nothing OCD about it.

Kitchen cabinets must be done by item/use/size/color and pantry done by food groups. Again it's a time saver.

I am not OCD.

That's why I don't even touch those self check out machines.  Half the people using them don't even know HOW to do it.  And I'd be all like, "OMG, just let me do it for you!"  That's like the people who go to the 15 items or less lane with a cart full of groceries..... This morning, I was walking through m local Meijer waiting for the bank branch in the front of the store to open.

(As an Ex-GI, I'm pretty much always "scanning my sector".)

I was walking past the rows of CDs and DVD, glancing down each row as I passed the end cap.  Halfway down one of the rows was a rather well-dressed African-descended female person, talking on a cell phone.  We had no sooner made eye contact (which I didn't hold anyway), she said quite clearly, "don't be watchin' me!  You don't know me!" I continued past the next end cap and hear (presumably back on the phone) "White man be eyeballin' me in the store,"  then went on to say something about X-Boxes.

Oh, how I wanted to say, "You don't know me either, but you went from normal (-seeming, at least) to instantly hostile at the sight of a white face.  How racist would it be if I had reacted that way to you?  And people of all shades wonder why a few of us, innocent of all real harm, shrug at the possibility that your precious feelings have been hurt, n-word or n-deed."

People who damage library books.  At least four times in the last year I've taken out a cookbook from my local library, only to find that someone tore out some pages.  One book's entire chicken recipe section was gone, just ripped out.  Photocopies aren't that expensive, you asshat!  Other people might like to read those books, too.   :argh:

I checked out one particular book that I was looking forward to, and the entire section I was interested in was torn out!

Getting into a great book, taking it with you on the train to work (if you commute that way--I drive a short distance to the subway station, park, then take the M train...ANYway), and then forgetting it at work! Especially over the weekend! Ohhhhh, I HATE that.

Oooooohhh....losing a book that way is a bit worse than a Peeve (what's above a Peeve?). But it's similar, especially if you're going somewhere you KNOW you're not going to be able to buy it and finish it. And if you were planning on having it for beach reading...

I have learned to only take current paperbacks that I can easily pick up at a grocery or Walgreen's. I take one with me, on the plane in my totebag, and pack the rest.

Tip jars at any food place without table service, and then the concomitant dirty looks you get when you don't tip. Let me get this straight--you (the ones with the tip jars) think I'm going to tip you for just 3 minutes of work--ringing me up on the register and passing the order along to the kitchen? After which I pick up my bag of food and leave, and you do nothing more? Not happening.

This phrase:

I mean, couldn't the speaker at least add an identifier at the end such as "Where you at, Bob?" for our listening pleasure?  Sheesh!!

This bugs me too.  I don't like it when someone tries to pressure me into doing something.  Another example is the cashier's attempt to wring a charitable donation out of me as he/she rings up my purchases.  This seems to happen at every supermarket and drug store lately.  "Would you like to donate one dollar to [insert charity name]?"  And if I choose not to give, suddenly I'm Ebenezer Scrooge.

OHHHHhhhh, good one. Yes, that is EXTREME pissing-off material. You know what I said the last time that happened around Christmastime? I pointed to the receipt and said, "can't afford any more at THESE prices." Got the special just-bit-into-a-lemon look for that one.

I give, of course, to some extent; sometimes planned, sometimes just on a whim. You probably do the same. But it pisses me off mightily when these places take advantage of you being, essentially, a captive audience, and that tactic is guaranteed to ensure that I DON'T give a thing in that particular circumstance.

(I made an exception to this rule, once, for the VFW, outside a Publix in Florida. I donate something to the VFW every year anyway, so a little bit more didn't bug me, and it's the VFW, after all.)

Here’s one that’s similar; I work in Chelsea in Manhattan. Sometimes, people (usually young) stake out the sidewalk territory outside our building to raise money for one of their causes—and quite often, by the way, they’re “causes” I’d just as soon TAKE  money from and sure as hell wouldn’t give a cent to—gay this, transgender that, anti-Tea Party, pro-Muzzie/anti-all-the-rest-of-us crap at the height of the furor over that foul GZ mosque project. Here’s the thing: they’re trained to walk up to you with a smile and their hands out for a handshake, and with a kind of "knowing" eye contact, to take advantage of the natural response of a decent person who’s thinking “hey, I must know this person from somewhere, they want to shake my hand, now where did I know them from?” They ask you how you are, and you ask the same in return, of course, still thinking, "now where do I know him/her from?"THEN they launch into their damn pitch after they’ve shaken your hand.  THEN you realize that, hey, you don’t know this person and you never did (because, after all, we do meet people and, after long periods of no contact, forget them sometimes). Absolutely infuriates me, and is also guaranteed to get nothing from me. And more than a few of the importunate creeps who employ this slimy, slimy tactic have then looked and ME with distaste and anger after I say “Oh, we don’t know each other, no, no..” and walk away.  The gall. It’s a rotten thing to take advantage of both a person’s natural forgetfulness and also natural civility.

To REALLY feel like a heel, try saying 'no' to the cute little Girl Scouts selling cookies when they pounce on you outside the grocery store . . .  :banghead:  How many cookies does a person need, fer cryin' out loud?  I get it at work, there are a couple of little girls down the street who knock on the door . . . so I'm well stocked, believe me! I'm going to start having nightmares where I'm being chased by droves of little scouts hurling boxes of cookies at me . . .  :overreaction:

I really enjoyed this thread!! some were funny, some were emotional(the dog who was chained outside).
@ Sparky tell us how you really feel!!!

I have enough pet peeves to fill a book!!!

Here are some:
People who are shallow and condescending
I work in retail, so don't get me started on that!!
but people who wear pj's to walmart(WTF??) don't be so damned lazy and get dressed properly!!
People who abuse the ebt card to buy junkfood, instead of nutritious food for their kids.
People who don't look in the mirror before they go shopping(342 lbs bimbos wearing tanktops and tight capris and their bulge hanging out)
People who leave their kids(as young as 5 years old) in the toy dept while mum and dad go shopping.

men who wear crocks(the shoes)
long toenails or dirty feet, if you are going to wear sandals or flipflops , make your feet look presentable.

and the list goes on.......

Of course! 'mo is short for "That big faggot over in the corner with a lovesick look in his eyes when he stares at the football-type across the room and the way the dood licks his eyebrows".

Dang. Took me awhile and you STILL had to 'splain it to me!

But thank you for the bitchslaps. The road to heaven is paved with bitchslaps.  :-)

Besides, I wasn't "exiled", but returned to my Native State...

I've freely admitted in the past that I'm somewhat OCD......

I started doing that when I used to get most of my breakfasts & lunches from a vending machine. Don't knock it, it worked.

BTW, NEVER EVER touch the stuff on my desk. Even in chaos, I know where everything is.....

Taking wrinkled bills and running them along an edge (like the side of the machine) works pretty well, too.....

Idiots that pass and pull in front of you and then make a left turn, forcing you to stop while they wait on oncoming traffic to clear.  If the jerks would have stayed behind you could have made it through the light.

I eat a LOT of mexican food...... Don't matter where I am. When I was up in MN, for the longest time I had to go to a Mexican Market. A couple of years before I left, Walmart started carrying "Latino" foods.

It was his attitude that got me however. it's how dare we not sell anything mexican!! If we(any American retail store) do sell anything international, it is out of courtesy, or for the fact that Americans like to make mexican(or anything international) dishes in the privacy of their own home.

...Aside from the obvious Libtards

Just the every day stuff that gets on your nerves.

I can't stand:

Liars
Nose-pickers
Tail-gaters and those who don't use their signal lights
Noisy eaters. Hearing you chew, chomp and slurp grosses me out.
Channel surfers who won't even stop to look and see what's on.
Bad spellers (someone here is driving me nuts and if I quoted this person to fix her posts I would be a hero member by now!)

Other seriously more important stuff but you get the drift.

What are yours?

I know I can't spell...but give me a break..I gots a swiss cheese brain still.

I'm reviving this just because I can.  I'm pissed.

You know how the DUmmies refuse to believe something, even though it's right on videotape?  Such as everything Beck shows, then the DUmmies say "Fox Lies!"

I am spending time on someone else's mistake, done over and over again.

Me:  You have double-dipped this deduction.
Them from another company:  Nope, no I haven't.
Me:  <prepares paper evidence, complete with arts-and-crafts blocking out of info that's NOYB, and faxes it over.>  Do you see?
Them:  No, Karin.   :lalala:

They started putting the stupid letterbox around my movies! Then, they told us it was because our TVs were the wrong shape. Then, the bastards sold us new flat TVs in the supposedly correct shape. Heston's Ben-Hur was made in such a widescreen that it almost disappears on my 19" CRT.

I really dislike people that make a phone call from a noisy place.  I answered the phone at work today and could not even hear what the woman was saying. It sounded like a dozen little kids rioting in the background.  To top it off, it was a wrong number and her English skills left a lot to be desired.

I have no problem with this kind of thing, as long as the perps park 1.347 miles away from the entrance to which they're going.  :rotf:

A severe pet peeve of mine are the clueless jerks who throw their car door open and leave a dent in YOUR car because they're too stupid to understand that that kind of thing happens when stupid people are issued driver licenses.

What's up with that commercial for K9 Advantix, where the puppy incites a labor riot?  He calls for a strike, with no affection, no friendship, no nothing until they get their K9 Advantage and ditch the Frontline.  Then all the dogs are given little SEIU bandanas to wear.  I hate it.

My husband hates the commercials where the husband and wife are contentedly chopping vegetables.  "What's with all these ****ing vegetables?"  he'll say.
