http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/09/17/made-in-america-the-luxury-label-will-cost-you_n_1891127.htmlI know it's Huffpo, but just a point.
But instead his experiment underscores the new truth about American-made products: The only people who can afford to buy them are the richest ones. "I am capable of it," he acknowledged, "but I don’t think it’s feasible for everyone to do this."
Why does Nadin hate the poor?
As a side note of course being that it's huffpo we only touch on median incomes not allowing for this kind of excess with obvious conclusions being the usual liberal memes of we don't make enough bs. No points made as to why it is more expensive in the US. See I would expect to pay more for it since here we enjoy and like to pay folks for a standard of living that doesn't keep them eating crackers and peanut butter for dinner. the problem is it is not a reasonable price differentiation. I might pay 10 or 15 bucks more for a pair of jeans, but I'm not going to pay 50 or 100 bucks more. Sorry, but that's outrageous. Why don't they examine WHY US goods are more expensive?
Either way, Levis has a "Made in the USA" line; one wonders why Nadin didn't just order those? maybe the 198.00 price tag versus the 48.00 one for the brand she bought was the turn off. FYI the brand she bought is US made, but non union(why does Nadin hate unions?
) The Made in the USA label for Levi is both supplied with union made(I believe) fabric from the Cone Mill, NC plant and holds the labeling of Levi which adds $ to the price. Hmmmmm.....
