I didn't even click.  FWIW, the Donnachaidh is my Maternal Granddad.  When he fell in love with my Grandmother and asked her to marry him, she said she would, but he had to change up his lifestyle.

1.  He had to change from Democrat to Republican
2. He had to change from Methodist to Baptist
3.  He had to stop smoking.

He did, and he lived happily ever after.   :-)

I happened to recall seeing a DUmmie using the clan name as their name. I know it's only coincidence. :)

My ex is part Dutch...when his great-grandfather immigrated, he had to change his surname at Ellis Island.

Who knew that one of his sons would end up in Nebraska with a name that sounds like he's part of an Indian tribe?

Can't tell you how many times I have been asked over the last 30+ years - especially living in a Cherokee area, I have been asked what tribe I belonged to.  :whatever:

My ex's family response was always "The Fuqawee Tribe...."they are the ones who come up over the hill, and ask "where the **** are we"?"

Just hand over the chocolate...back away slowly...far away....and you won't get hurt....

Save the Earth... it's the only planet with chocolate.

A balanced diet is chocolate in both hands.

Driving back from Dallas the other day, there was  road  called, "Kerfoot" Road. I wondered if there was some distant relation.

Well, in Dutch/ German/ northern european, it probably was spelled, "Köefoot" at one time. "Kerfoot" would be the proper pronunciation.

Almost exclusively Polish; my family came to America in 1906. I'm second-generation American :)

There is a small amount of Russian ancestry from my mother's side, and possibly a little German or Austrian from my father's.

Irish from my Mother. Maiden name of Magee. English and Irish on my Fathers side. Union of Tucker and Broyles.
Come to think of it, unions do create jobs. Companies have to hire two workers to do the work of one.
