Hey we're back after a long injury laden hiatus! Just got back from another Sasquatch investigation out at Diamond Grove ..alot of action! We heard alot of wood knocks as well as branches snapping. Tomorrow we will be investigating the area the sounds came from for physical signs.- C
Before I say what I'm going to say let me say that I don't know if Sasquatch exists. It may exist. It may not exist.
With the above out of the way, my wife will sometimes watch the show Bigfoot Hunters or whatever it's called. When they do their "investigation" I generally sit and laugh. She finally asked me once if I ever saw or heard anything strange in the woods. Keep in mind that I've spent the biggest part of my life in oak woods, pine ridges, and river swamps. I told her that I had encounter a ton of strange things in the woods, but I was able to figure out what 99.9% of them were because I was in the woods during the day.
Even during the day the woods can make a lot of noise. At night, the woods are even more alive because so many animals are nocturnal.
I remember once being way back in the woods. There were no houses around for miles. Out of the blue I heard what sounded like a person or animal groaning. It was very loud, but I really couldn't tell if it was near or far away. Sometimes it would be a quick groan. Sometimes it would be more drawn out. I got to looking around and finally found the groaner. There were two tall, slender trees that were apart from each other at the base, but almost crossed about 20' or so above the ground. When the wind would blew just right it would cause the trees to rub together where they crossed.
I've heard of and have personally known reputable people who have seen things. I'm hesitant to ridicule those people, but Bigfoot hunters and ghost hunters are sources of amusement to me.
