I'll very likely get one when I move out which may not be very long from now....DUmmie will move out when he is thrown out.....after mom dies.
A pet male RAT, name him Ben. " Ben, the two of us need not look no more, we have found what we are looking for."
Good pet, one that will bond with you as long as you feed him, content to sit inside your shirt all day, some one to talk to and go through life with.
Only you know Ben is inside your shirt listening to those you encounter and prepared to defend you to the death. No worry about talking to yourself, Ben is there to listen as he pokes his nose out of your shirt collar looking for food or water.
I would not advise a dog, they tend to pick up the owners fears. What cost a RAT, get as a baby and save it from the Snake owners that need feeder mice and rats for their obnoxious so called pets.
A female rat is going to be promiscuous, leave you for some Hunk of big boy Rat and leave you with 12 baby's to bother with. Go with the male Rats, they will turn down sex for food in a heart beat.
