Pissed off?   Nah, we have nothing to be pissed off about in New England.

Well, yeah, other than that perfect season being ruined and the loss of your second Superbowl to a QB you seem to think should be playing Middle School football. Eli owned your team twice. Get over it.

Oh, Ok. Stats don't mean anything. Neither do Superbowls, Pro bowls, MVPs. Gotcha. What does mean something, Lurker? Opinionated asshole fans of other teams? Hmm, makes sense. NOT.

I neither want, nor need, your illogical and emotional bullshit reasoning. Come at me with empirical data or admit you don't know what the **** you're talking about and STFU. I don't give a rat's ASS about what some idiot sports writers say about a damn thing. Their opinions change on a daily basis, and differ from year to year. Their dumbass opinions have never ONCE been used in the decision-making process to name someone to the HOF.

Oh God, give a break already.    I WATCH THE GAMES.   You read stats.

Have fun with that.  The only emotional one here is you with the insults.    Eli mean that much to you Rebel?    You his protector?

No, I watch the games, religiously, and follow the stats. You should try the stats part. It would help your decision-process and prevent you from making stupid, emotionally-driven posts without any data to back them up. I'm seeing the Giants D perform terribly. Guess if I was to use your illogical reasoning, none of'em will get into the HOF and I guess, again, using your illogical reasoning, they all suck. Problem is, I'm a TRUE sports fan and know that one play or one game doesn't mean dick when it comes to greatness or HOF eligibility.

Really, Lurker, I've destroyed every emotionally-driven point you've tried to make about how Eli supposedly sucks and will never be in the HOF. You inferred he didn't have enough SB's. I showed you one that had none. You inferred he didn't have the stats. I showed you some that had worse stats. You said he wasn't an impact player because Brady was apparently THE team and no QB could have come in and done it from the Pats sideline. I showed you that neither did Eli. The "Facts" are that Eli has the stats, the SB's, and has been PROVEN to be the heartbeat of that Giants offense. That awesome Giants defense didn't put up those points on those scoreboard in those Superbowls that gave you so much embarrassment; Eli Manning's skill at QB did. Tebow the "4th Quarter Comeback Kid"? No, there isn't a person out there that will take ANY QB in the 4th quarter over Eli, including Brady. I've heard that by MANY pundits. Oh, and by pundits, I mean actual players turned announcers. Not idiots in comment sections of 5 year old blogs.

Eli will be in the Pro Football Hall of Fame. So will Peyton, Brady, and, we can debate this, Drew Brees. Difference is, my opinion isn't emotionally-based. I use stats and actually watch the games. Only one person here is trashing a SB-winning QB.

You really haven't, but that';s ok.  Note my point has always been he doesn't deserve to be there.    I really don't care to debate the topic any further anyway as it is pointless.

Eli was classic Manning last night - pressure, and he is done.   Giants defense not up for prime time.   It's going to be a L-O-N-G season for New Jersey Giants fans.   :(

It's a beautiful day in the neighborhood...

And that's why you don't know a damn thing about football. Bad protection by the O line, Cruz dropping passes, missed coverage by the D, and you blame it ALL on Eli. Whatever, Homerfan. Stick to your armchair. One loss doesn't make a season, well, unless it's the final game of the year when you're 18-0. LMAO!

This is from the paper you just used to trash Eli, well, that you used to try to trash Eli:

Quote
There was plenty of positive energy and emotional swirling about MetLife Stadium, but the defending Super Bowl champs never put their stamp on this one. Eli Manning was under too much pressure and produced only three first-half points. He had no consistent rushing attack to lean on. Never mind the 78 yards and one touchdown by Ahmad Bradshaw. When push came to shove, the Giants were shoved back, as they lost three yards on two runs from the Dallas 1-yard line, having to settle for a field goal. Rookie David Wilson lost the ball on a fumble on his second NFL carry. Victor Cruz had three drops.

On defense, they were ravaged by DeMarco Murray, who gained 131 yards and made like a ping-pong ball in bounding off Mathias Kiwanuka and Justin Tuck on a 48-yard run. Tony Romo, working the slant game to perfection, was 22 of 29 for 301 yards and threw three touchdown passes, two to Kevin Ogletree, who had his way with Corey Webster and others.

“We didn’t really stop the run. They had all sorts of yardage and we had little or none,’’ Coughlin said. “And it’s like we’d never seen a slant before.’’

Super Bowl winners had been 8-0 in mid-week season openers ever since the league decided to showcase the previous season’s champions. The Giants ended that streak by getting beaten to the punch.

The Giants lost the opener last season and won the Super Bowl, so there’s that.

The Giants were down 14-3 early in the third quarter when Ogletree caught his second touchdown pass of the game, a 40-yarder, as he broke free from Webster on a stop-and-start move. Manning came back with an efficient nine-play, 89-yard drive, fueled by Domenik Hixon’s brilliant leaping catch over cornerback Brandon Carr, who mistimed his jump, for 39 yards to the Dallas 10. From there, Bradshaw finally got some room to maneuver and took it around the left side for a touchdown to pull the Giants within 14-10.

Notice anything missing? Like, maybe, any criticism of Eli?

Now, let's look at some of the comments that you seem to rely on heavily:

Quote
Maria Camelia Torres-Flynn

Cruz sucked!

Now, obviously Cruz doesn't suck and is one of the best receivers in the country, but I'm a true fan. If I were an armchair homer I'd probably say, "See! He sucks! Cruz will NEVER be in the HOF! See this comment?" But I'm not.

Then yes, I'd take Manning over Brady.  Either Manning.  Sorry, FL.  Gotta calls 'em as I sees 'em.

Matter of fact, I'd take Brees and Rodgers over Brady in that department.

Too bad the decade is over and New England sports is back to being the red-headed stepchild of professional sports.

And they're wishing Franconia would come back.

Funny read:

Quote
The Patriots once again lost in the Super Bowl to the Giants thanks to yet another late 4th quarter comeback drive orchestrated by Eli Manning. And there was a great rejoicing. Since then, the Patriots have been mostly busy getting trying to suppress the events of the Summer of Gronk, as well as signing eight thousand other tight ends.

Speaking as an NFL (and Cowboys) fan, I do believe both of these QBs will be in the HOF. I have respect for Manning for all those 4th quarter drives (including the one against the Cowboys last year).

I despise Tammy Brady. He's a scumbag. Might be a great QB, but he's still a scumbag.

I *might* get some respect for Tammy if he ever plays a season and ends up passing for over 4,000 yards with broken ribs and a punctured lung.
