Not to insult anybody here in the Navy, but I saw that video, and They seemed more like an operation for Marines or the Army :???:..
I thought Navy/Airforce did more sea and air battles, and Marines/Army did more frontline, field battle.

I don't understand all the references to his identity being confirmed by DNA. I don't doubt they could have facilities onboard the USS Vinson to do it, but I've always heard the test procedure takes several days to complete. How could they have DNA confirmation in a matter of less than six hours? I think the identity was confirmed, but not by DNA.

His DNA was on file in WA DC. They probable used the DNA strands that were on file. Remember this was a obama news report.

His sister died of cancer, as I recall, and that's where the comparison DNA sample came from.
