The GOP would have been hurt.
Hi,
IMO the GOP will not be hurt if they call Obama out on this one. The majority of the public is not pleased with the czars to begin with. There should be a huge PR program about the fact his word is not his bond and force him to comply with the law, along with a court case asking for an injunction to stop the czars. Sooner or later the republicans, with or without Boehner, have to stand up to the president and take the heat.
I mentioned somewhere where I had asked my son in law about a new mutual acquaintence. His comment to me was "he cheats at golf". Now I do not even play golf but there was nothing more needed to be said. Well BO does not honor his deals, his word is not his bond, it is worthless. That sends shock waves throughout the world. Could you negotiate a treaty with him knowing that he does not honor his deals? What happens when they try to negotiate the next budget deal or the raising of the debt cieling if he is not called on this right now and held accountable?
Scott Walker had the balls to stand up for what he believes is right, and what he was elected to do, regardless of the squak put up by the other side. Boehner doesn't get it. No substiantial change the conservatives want is going to be easy, nor is it going to be supported by the mainstream media. So what's new?? Get on with the job for crying out loud.
You can defend Boehner all you want but bottom line is simple. To this point he is not getting the job done that the majority of conservatives want or envisioned. It he republicans are not calling Obama out on this issue right now, that means they can and will accept that behavior in the future. Case closed Obama wins and our election efforts are down the drain.
I wrote my new republican congressman a blistering letter for voting for the budget plan. I met him and talked with him at length when he was running and he succumed to the party pressure. That is BS, that is not what he campaigned on and a lot of folks are going to hold him accountable.
