Damned near. It goes up so fast, at EVERY station at the same time, that you can almost see the numbers jumping. There's no greed or collusion, though.....
Went on vacation less than two weeks ago...$3.40/gal.Came back Saturday...$3.60/gal.Coming home from work today...$3.66/gal.Yay, you ignorant sumbitches. Thanks for no pipeline, no drilling here, no shit.
Paid $3.29 on Saturday. Up to $3.49 now. And who do I blame? (Rhetoric question) ;D
I was reading a freight industry magazine, and they had mentioned that since 2009, diesel fuel costs have went up 61%. They also mentioned that fuel was 25% of the operating cost of a truck in 2009, and it is now 37% of the operating costs.
Spent a shitload of money in driving from mid-Missouri all the way to Bah Hahbah, Maine; and then back again via Detroit.I've got the receipts, but I'm afraid to look at them.FML.
Zeit--I'm thinking a prebuy of heating oil this year might not be such a bad deal after all, especially at $3.29 or 3.39, depending on where you go.Oh, and gas went up another 4 cents yesterday. $3.70.9/gal. Thanks, Obammy!
I've become trained to consider 1/2 a tank as empty. So I gas up then, still paying the same in the end but not in such big chunks of cash all at once.
