Me. I have no idea, other than I post too much. I have no idea why anyone would have Schade on ignore, either. I don't have anyone on ignore, but have been tempted by a few.

I usually stick to a few favorite threads. However, when I am turned "on", I can be quite prolific.

Perhaps that equates to obnoxious? I don't know, it's all good fun for me and I take no offense.

Since I do my own thinking, it's not hard to see the quality of his character.

Terrorists love him? Despite the spin being put on the loss of the Chicago Olympics, I am sure that there are millions and millions of ordinary people all over the planet who are inspired by his story. These people will more than likely have good thoughts about us and pass them on to their children. This is why we elected him.

The previous president did everything he could do, it seems, to boost the recruitment efforts of the fanatic fringe. It was like throwing gasoline on a fire.

He hates America? What kind of standards do you apply to these opinions anyway? If you're satisfied with that kind of absurd nonsense, then there is nothing I could say that you would recognize as valid and I'm just wasting my breath.

Not all, but a lot of the responses, illustrated the point for me nicely. A lot like your comment does. There is a lot of pure political sabotage going on. This is not to be mistaken for a sincere desire for truth or accuracy.

There is a certain amount of the Socratic method at play on my part. You all are very intent on building strong walls against "liberal" thinking, and therefore not likely to hear much that makes sense in things I say. All I can do is try to lob a few questions over the walls.

He grew up going to a Madrassah, then moved on the hard drugs and hanging around commies in college, then m oved on to ACORN and spending 20 years as a member and supporter of Jeremiah Wright's HATE CHURCH. How many other Presidents spent 20 years as a member of a hate group?? He had tapes mailed to him when he was away of the 'sermons.' Meanwhile he was a buddy with William Ayers, a domestic terrorist etc etc etc

About the conservative/liberal duality. I'm just saying that the its like contraction and expansion. Neither force can carry the day. Too much contraction and you get a black hole. Too much expansion and you get spacey and un grounded. We each have a mix of each. Hopefully a healthy one.

About the Bible quote: I don't really get it. But he does mention swords, and two is enough. As you know, I was thinking more along the lines of, "love thy neighbor as thy self", "love thy enemy", "I and the father are one", "son of man", "son of God", "go and sin no more", "give unto Cesar what is Cesar's, unto God what is God's". I guess guns and such fit in with the Cesar part. For me, though, I think I'll just sit at his feet.

I firmly believe that he is a socialist who is consumed with government expansion and erosion of personal freedoms. His recklessness and folly have not endeared him to anybody, save the Norwegians, perhaps, and even then we've read that only those who are rabid socialists approved of Obama in the joke now known as the Nobel Peace Prize.

Oh well. To each his own. I invite you to actually defend Obama. I'm pretty certain you'll get an earful.

Truth is, I should have gone slower at the beginning, and, as you say introduced myself first. But, my guess is that I would have encountered she same shit storm. You people are pretty firmly entrenched in you views. Doubt that I would have been anymore welcome if I'd said "Howdy first".

Since Hawkgirl's view on my simple statements, meet your approval, I suspect it's time to move on.

Personal freedoms have to be balanced with personal responsibilities. On the right or the left. Fill in the details yourself. I'm tired of the personal attacks.
