I kinda figured Rio would get it.  The Olympics have been in Tokyo before and Barcelona had them in 1992.  No SA country had ever hosted them.  Of course, when it's summer in the Northern hemisphere, it's winter in the Southern, but in Rio that's not going to be that big of a problem.
