This looks like a situation that requires us to repeat this phrase.

I'm squishier on this. Local establishments here run specials in the summer that cater to the local pools close by the restaurants. It's not unusual for a family to go straight from the pool to eat and a whataburger is fast food for goodness sakes, not a sit down place. This is a pretty upscale, conservative neighborhood too and in the summer its not unusual to see families in their suits and flip flops still with coverups over their suits in a fast food place. I just always figured they came straight from the pool to eat. There are some in those pics with regards to attire where I would give a pass--looks like they came from doing labor type of work(maybe on their house) or the beach or the pool and went for a quick trip to wallyworld, but others...whoa! You know they went from their home tot he store that way...wow!

I know I'm going to hell for saying this , but the woman in the red Uggs, I'd bet money the food was paid for with a gov subsidy card...that's probably exactly the situation I spoke of...'husband' lives in the home with unreported income that buys red uggs and booty shorts while the rest of us pay their food bill.

There were NO coverups...... I don't exactly "dress up" to go to the store, but for crying out loud, at least I don't look like I just came in from the field or go someplace half naked. ( I will admit that I've had to run to the auto parts store, looking like a grease monkey from time to time)

I wouldn't wear a shirt like that and me wearing it wouldn't bring about nightmares to those reading it. It's called class. I have a feeling this is a shirt for a business though trying to play on words, but still...geez!

Thats probably the only way she gets any, from Sasquatch dude.

Some of these older folks get OFF on the looks they get when wearing unusual clothing for their age.

This is an attention thing for the old folk that think like a 14 year old.  They know full well what they look like, to them the clothing is not only funny but a up yours to the comunity.

Some of this is bait just waiting for a reason to go off on others who give then a what the Hell look.

One of my brother in laws wears these T-shirts that I refuse to walk in public with him. He is 60 years old and gets his jollies making old Lady's gasp or show disgust.

He comes home laughing his butt off at the looks he gets, to him this is attention.

The woman and men I see flaunting their body's wearing shorts as a 400 pound person is such as this.  They are looking for someone to fight with to make themselves important.

I realise I am not saying this very well. somehow I am trying to say that these people have little pride in themselves, they must feel like loose rs to dress like a looser.

What you've described is immaturity. I got over 'shocking' people when I was a teenager and would dye my hair funky colors and wear ton up fishnets with combat boots. Its a pity a 60 year old man still gets off onthose things.

As for the heavy person in inappropriate clothing. I do think it's a self-esteem issue, but I think someone ONE TIME may have told them they looked good...maybe someone who loved them or wanted to screw them and they sadly continue to wear something like that in public thinking they look 'hot'. I know a number of heavy gals over the year whose heads were so inflated they actually thought they were the shit in things you'd only want to see on a Brazilian beach girl. Girls who maybe were shapely once and now are huge and still think they are the same size they were and are living in the past.

I took out clothes I used to wear over 2 years ago. I knew I was heavy, but I didn't know I was that heavy and now I think I'm bigger then what I am(and that's from MANY sources, not just my own assessment). They body image people have sometimes doesn't catch up with the reality on both sides of the weight gain/loss spectrum.

Amen--it's why I don't take off my t-shirt when I go to the beach.  People keep trying to drag me back into the water.

Wish I had a camera today. I took my mom to the nearest Wal Mart to get her eyeglasses fixed after she stepped on them this morning. When we got there someone had parked a homebuilt flatbed pickup with more crap packed on it then anyone should have been allowed to own and none of it was tied down to keep it from falling off the edges. I told my mom that "It looked like Jed and Granny Clampett must have pulled up"

You just reminded me of something I saw last year.  It was there for several days at least and I did have a camera.  The following Picture was taken in a Walmart parking lot.  Granted it was closer to the Sam's Club side, but still.

Yes, that is a truck with camper and the leveling legs are extended.

You know really...the only place I'd dare wear something like that is to workout, but it would have a short tank under it and appropriate workout pants, not a thong and a standard bra. She's not got a terrible figure, but seriously, even being in shape doesn't mean you can wear anything. Some things still look trashy  no matter how good one's bod is. Geez!
