I slipped on the stairs after getting up in the middle of the night and I think I bruised by tailbone (at least!).   :censored:  It hurts like HELL!!!

From what I've been reading, too, it's not really going to pay to go to the doctor.  They can just confirm whatever I did to myself and prescribe pain meds (ibuprofen), which I already have.

And one of the possible ways they would diagnose my injury is by doing a manual exam up my yahoo.  Thanks, but no.  I've also read that X-rays don't always show tailbone breaks.  So what's the point?

the possibility of lumbar injury... how would you like to not be able to feel your junk?

also, the therapeutic dose for ibuprofen is 2400 mg a day, damn near a whole bottle of store bought every day... you really wanna take 12 of those a day?
