Any SSDI experts I need HELP!...

I have been under "review" to see if my condition has improved. I filled out the long question form & mailed it in a timely fashion.
 
Over a month later I got a certified letter & another (identical) form to fill out. I called & was told they did not receive my original!.
 
In the course of the call I explained my condition-a major sleep disorder & fibromyalgia. I told him how hard it was to fill out these forms with my hands going numb & cramping. I also detailed my sleep problem that stems from a parotid gland surgery gone awry-it is fairly obvious and in both cases my disability is easily demonstrated.
 
I sent the other form-priority mail with delivery confirmation.

About 2 weeks later I got a call from SSDI. This time it was a lady apologizing my form had been misplaced. I said great you have 2 now & she confirmed they had received both. She said something about being gone 2 weeks unexpected & had 13 other people to call back. She didn't sound very competent to be honest.
 
Fast forward 2 more weeks & my SSDI auto pay did not come!. I have a family & of course bills.
 
3 messages & no return call yet. I am trying my best not to have a panic attack and posting as a stress reliever & possibly some advice may result.
 
In my online search I believe I can only be cut off without notice if I did not return my paperwork or cooperate. I have done everything I can & told them I'd be happy to be examined or whatever. My disability has not gotten better since a Judge declared me disabled. And my fibromyalgia is markedly worse.
 
So...

I am calling as soon as they open this AM and try to get a human on the line to get a Supervisor involved. I am hopefully certain this is all just a terrible mistake. But I am in limbo now & any advice or related stories will help...

2. I know not evryone lives close to an SSA office but if possible, go in.

If it is hard for you to fill out forms, they will do it for you. Get a photocopy of the completed form. Remember the name of the person you talked to and note the date and time. If your payment did not arrive, they can give you a special payment. It will work out in the end.

The real problem at SSA is not incompetency or lack of caring. The problem is that resources and personnel have been cut so much that people are overwhelmed and no one knows what the hell is going on any more. I worked for SSA for almost 35 years. I saw our staff go from almost 50 to under 30. All while the workloads were increasing massively.

In my opinion, it is part of a deliberate plan to decrease confidence in the program so they can privatize it. My blood pressure went down 20 points when I retired.

And it stated they would contact me before payments were stopped. And that did not happen.
 
So it is a mistake more than likely. But my sleep disorder has me on edge emotionally. It has been over 6 years and the condition is not treatable & stable. I typically get 4 or less hours of sleep a night.. Daytime with coffee is Ok till about 1pm-after that I need to lie down due to fatigue.
 
And this is really stressful.

If I do have to drive there it is going to be difficult. I avoid heavy traffic areas as I'm prone to go nuts. Older vehicle with bad brakes doesn't help.
 
I'm sorry about the work situation. Just there has to be some safeguard -this is my family & we can not make it without my benefits.

And if the worker had my personal files out & about so they were missing?? WTF??
 
Thanks & I'm trying to stay calm-not working but I'm trying.

And the primitives want the same people to run the medical system.....

Dime a page at the library, or in that ballpark, how tough would it be for the DUmmie to run a copy of the original and mail that instead of filling out a new form each time?  Hell, for about a hundred bucks you can get a multifunction inkjet machine that'll serve as printer, scanner, fax machine, and copier...Hell, the DUmmie probably HAS one, but hasn't figured out she can make copies with it yet.

While fibromyalgia is real, it doesn't mean you have to stop living or being a productive member of society. My 18 year old niece has it. She takes Lyrica. It helps most of the time. It hasn't stopped. She's a costume designer and assistant director for a local theater group. Everyone has a story. You can use it as an excuse to let life defeat you or you can use it as an excuse to stop trying.
