This whole thing is going to help crush the democratics in the election.  It is just getting worse and worse.  Unfortunately it didn't crush them soon enough and people are going to have to die because of it.

Either way the politics of the appointee will trump what needs to be done.

IIRC the head of the CDC was Bloomturds Public Health guy in NYC...he was the mastermind of the transfat ban....no sodas and no salt...he's aldo the one behind the practically city wide ban on smoking.

So it's a real crap shoot as to whether a Dr. appointed by Obama would do any better/worse.

This who "Czar" thing is ridiculous.  We have the CDC, a multi-BILLION dollar agency,  for this purpose !  If the CDC has screwed the pooch, you CLEAN HOUSE, you don't bypass it.

There has been a director for pandemic diseases at the CDC for 10 years. The current one has refused to pop her head out of her bunker since September because of some accusations of a financial discretion involving Ebola and Flu vaccine money being routed to a big Obama donor. So the need for another "czar" is clearly a do-nothing spoils job for an out-of-work friend of both Slo-Jo and Algore.
