SOB deserves to be doing many years of hard time for obstruction of justice.  I'm sure Obozo will search long and hard to find someone even worse to nominate, though.

No doubt there is someone waiting in the wings long before this "resignation" was announced.

Latino groups say there are many Hispanics qualified to take over for Eric Holder
http://latino.foxnews.com/latino/politics/2014/09/25/latino-groups-say-there-are-many-hispanics-qualified-to-take-over-for-eric/

Let's see how this pans out.

Obama might nominate a Hispanic just to appease Latinos since he backtracked on his pledge to take unilateral action on immigration.

IF that's the case...then expect to see the former Assistant Attorney General for the DOJ's Civil Rights Division
now Labor Secretary Thomas Perez get the nomination.

He's every bit as radical as Holder and Obama.

can we go back to the days when people were hired for their qualifications to do the actual job and not on how they look, or which restroom they use, or which gender they sleep with?

The DoJ has always been political, but Holder took it to a level not seen since Nixon.  He used the law to attack anyone and everyone who dared to question the Supreme Leader.  Not to mention he covered up and refused to investigate anything that might possibly damage the Supreme leader.

Good riddance to bad rubbish.

sadly, I am of the opinion that this is not a good thing. do you honestly think Obama won't replace him with someone as bad as Holder was if not worse? Sometimes it's 'better the devil you know, then the devil you don't'.

There was a recent interview with Bader Ginsberg said that she doesn't think Obama could get someone as liberal (as communist) as her through the senate, so she isn't going to retire.

That particular piece of advice is not necessarily bad, applied to a country with armed, large, hostile factions and absolutely no living memory of a tradition of democracy.  Not that I'm saying this was the reason she was offering that advice.

Holder became a multimillionaire when he grafted an pardon for Marc Rich. I wouldn't be a bit surprised that a big part of the consideration for him accepting the job as AG came with the attitude that he could put himself in an even better position to line his pockets with some even more lucrative pardons. His resignation may have a lot to do with the discovery that such plans were not in the cards for owebuma to sell Holder any more of like type pardons.
