Eric Holder Stepping Down
« on: September 25, 2014, 11:08:38 AM »
But Department of Justice will remain corrupt.
Quote
Attorney General Eric Holder plans to announce Thursday that he is leaving the Obama administration, a Justice Department official confirmed to Fox News.

The official said Holder has agreed to stay on the job until his successor is confirmed.

The departure would cap a tumultuous six-year term for the nation's top law enforcement official.

This should be interesting.  Why is he leaving I wonder.  We'll never get the real truth anyway.  He probably didn't prosecute enough Republicans.

Well it's certainly not because his conscience is bothering him.

Taking bets on who's replacing him. I'm going with Mumia. Maybe Farrakhan?

You know, it might be so the new head can destroy all incriminating evidence against Obama and Holder. The old "my computer crashed" meme has about run it's course. They need a new source of destruction so they will farm it out to someone new. It would look bad/worse if Holder did it himself.

This move is perfectly timed. If the senate recesses to allow members to go back to their states and campaign, Obama can name whoever he wants.

But, the replacement is in the slot only until the new Congress sits . . . January 3rd, 2015.

Technically, they are only to be in position until the end of the next session of congress, not until the next congress is seated. However, Harry Reid did implement the nuclear option and a new AG could be confirmed with a simple majority, I think.

The NPR report I read said the Solicitor General...Virelli...the one who stumble ****ed his way through defending Obamacare is at the top of the list to replace Eric the Red.

Now...here's something that should terrify everyone...Obama has openly hinted before that Ruth Buzzy...errr...Ginsberg needs to retire...I can see him replacing her with Holder.

There was a recent interview with Bader Ginsberg said that she doesn't think Obama could get someone as liberal as her through the senate, so she isn't going to retire.

Quote
“If I resign any time this year, he could not successfully appoint anyone I would like to see in the court,” the oldest member of the high court said. “[A]nybody who thinks that if I step down, Obama could appoint someone like me, they’re misguided,” later adding that she can “do the job full steam.”

shows the sad state our judicial system has devolved into.  It's no longer filling the justice seats with qualified and competent judges who are impartial before the facts, but has become a contest to see which side can stack the deck in their favor the most.

Didn't the left start that back when FDR tried to pack the court?  Conservatives just want the Constitution followed, but the left wants the courts to amend the meaning of the constitution to suit them.

Interesting he is stepping down suddenly.

Not soon enough, though.

Latino groups say there are many Hispanics qualified to take over for Eric Holder
http://latino.foxnews.com/latino/politics/2014/09/25/latino-groups-say-there-are-many-hispanics-qualified-to-take-over-for-eric/

Quote
The announcement that United States Attorney General Eric Holder will resign from his post after nearly six years on the job has Latino rights groups offering up a number of qualified Hispanics to fill the soon-to-be-vacated spot.

“Under Eric Holder’s leadership the Department of Justice has put in a strong commitment to Latino voting rights,” Rosalind Gold, Director of Policy, Research and Advocacy at the National Association of Latino Elected and Appointed Officials told Fox News Latino. “Whoever the administration chooses [to replace him], we hope that they look at the pool of talented Latinos and that whoever he or she is has the same commitment to voting rights that Holder had.”

While controversial in many quarters, Holder gets high marks among Latino groups as attorney general for protecting voting rights to reworking mandatory federal sentencing policies to meeting with leaders throughout the hemisphere to addressing the issue of the international drug trade.

Let's see how this pans out.
