Chili's sucks.

Chili's sucks.

so does ruby's

And Brennan's and Friday's and Saltgrass and Lone Star and pappadeaux and its derivatives and and all the rest of the generic "bar/restaurant" type places.

Take it from someone on the road 100% of the time -- they suck.

I don't care for Chili's.  And I think their commercials suck too.

They are opening a new Chili's near my apartment. I've never been there.

Applebee's isn't bad.

They are good places to have a drink or two and enjoy some appetizers.  Chili's makes some good burgers.  Applebee's has some good stuff too.  They are a nice place to relax a bit and share good company.

My wife likes Appleby's, Ruby Tuesdays, Chilli's and TGI Fridays, and I can't stand any of em.
We both agree to stay away from The Golden Corral, known as "Hungry Hungry Hippos" in our house.
There are a few places around here we agree on, Cracker Barrel being one.

I don't mind Bennigans occasionally, but I rarely go to the other places you mentioned.  The last time I went to Chili's was because a couple of sales guys wanted to go there for lunch.  I liked Appleby's back when I was in high school.  Actually one of my closest friends like the place and he practically demanded that we go there.  I think since I've graduated high school I've been less than 5 times.

The last time I went to Chili's, I walked out because a waiter hadn't been to my table for 15 minutes after I was seated.

Nah.  Never done an "illegal" drug in my life.

Oh yeah.   Their service is one of the worst I've ever experienced.  My mom came here for my birthday a few weeks ago, and she and I went there for a "quick" bite to eat.   Took about 20 minutes just to get our DRINKS.   :whatever:

They have pretty good Memphis style ribs, that is why I waited so long. Their waitstaff at the the particular restaurants I frequent, which are 3 various ones, has gone downhill drastically over the past 5 or 6 years.

It must be universal.  We were in Durant, OK for a couple of days at the end of February.  Chili's was the only place in town.  The service was pathetic.  It was more on the clueless side than unattentive or lazy.

The prize decider for all time bad service happened at an IHOP.  My wife and I sat for a l-o-n-g time before a waitress happened by.  She happened by to bring us "our" check.  It didn't phase her when she found out we hadn't ordered yet.

Locally...
Chilis - okay food, okay service
Logans Roadhouse - better food, okay service
Texas Roadhouse - terrible food, no service
Applebee's - good food, okay service
Saltgrass - good food, great service

*sighs*  Threads like this make me sad to be moving back to the States.

I'm going to miss living in a place where you walk into McDonalds, and they go out of their way to make you feel like the most important person in the world.

Can you tell me the location of that MacDonalds?

I find insincere smothering attention more bothersome than flat out bad service.
