First of all, thank the good Lord you live in a country where your ass CAN get fat.  I'm sure all your angst is of such comfort to the starving billions throughout the world. :whatever:
If you are FAT, it doesn't mean  you can't lose weight if you truly want to.  Calories in should be less than calories out.  Simple math.  So simple even a Common Core education couldn't **** it up.  Well, maybe.  Anyway, some of us don't give a rat's ass that we're considered fat.  I'm roughly 30 pounds overweight and could probably walk most 35-year old twiggy women into the ground, scoliosis notwithstanding.  But I'm 55 and I'm not giving up the things that make life pleasurable for ME, including good food and even better booze, especially wine.  If I cared about what idiot strangers thought about my tummy bulge maybe I'd reduce my caloric intake so as to lose the weight, but, hey, I don't care.  I have health issues but most are genetic and not caused by my extra flab...even if they were, it's my choice.  I think I look pretty damn good for my age and besides, after 30 years with the same man (as of 31 Jul), what do I care what anyone else thinks?

Love yourself dummies.  You'd be a helluva lot less annoying if you quite fretting about the little things in life and concentrate on what's truly important-faith, friends, family.

I have to admit, I could lose about 30 lbs...at least. I like myself though... I have a good head on my shoulders, I have a job I love. I am a bit self conscientious and tend to be shy. I have support from family and friends, and mum says it like it is.... :whatever: :thatsright:, but she loves me, and wants me to live a long , healthy and fulfilling life!!

I really, really miss my mom.  She was the MOST amazing woman ever, imo.  She always told me I looked "healthy and happy", no matter how fat I got.  There was  time I was 60 pounds overweight and the same weight as my husband.  ACK, that was the motivator to go do some serious calorie counting and burning.
Now I could still lose 30 pounds, but hubby's gained the same so he's now about 40 pounds heavier than me, which is how we were when we got married.  Of course, THEN we both were young, glowing, good looking, and in love.  Well, the last is still true, truer now than those 30 years ago.
IMHO, the secret to a long life is to live every day as though it's your last and to stay right with God, family and friends.  And, of course, make sure you live a good enough life to join them and your furbabies on the other side some year.  That's my sum total of wisdom, lol, not much.  Sea, and everyone, I hope the years are kind to you and that how much you weigh is the one of the least important issues in your life. :cheersmate:

My cousin's boyfriend recently used me as the comparison for how "fat" his ex-wife got after having a couple kids.  I almost punched him, but since he backtracked almost as soon as he realized what he said, he got to live.  I settled for reminding him how short he is. 

I'll be the first to admit that I could lose some weight, but I don't appreciate it being commented on  :bird:
