Fat Chicks and Moisture Wicking Clothes
« on: July 03, 2008, 07:18:54 PM »
As we have all learned here, fat chicks are sweaty and smell like bologna. :whatever:  So today I go to Walmart because I want to buy a bunch of moisture wicking outfits for vacation.  I sweat a lot but I wanted them mostly so I don't have to walk around all soggy after water rides at Dollywood.  So every single section of the store has moisture wicking outfits EXCEPT the fat chicks section.  DO THEY NOT KNOW THAT WE NEED IT THE MOST OUT OF ANYONE ON EARTH!?!??!?!  So I went to the store manager who I know pretty well and confront him with the discrimination.  He looked at me and rolled his eyes. :hammer:  So, instead of looking like a sweaty fat chick on vacation I will look like a sweaty fat feminine looking man in my man clothes! :banghead: :bird:

OHhhhhhhhh, and don't even get me started on trying to find the non-sweaty ass underwear for fat asses!!!!!!!!!!!!!  I was this ~~><~~ close to having to buy a thong so my ass didn't get all sweaty all day.  Thank God underneath some regular size 14 granny style underwear I found some non-sweaty ass underwear in my size!!!!! WHOOOO HOOOO!!!!!  My daughter was with me and said that there was no way my husband was going to want to see anyone in a thong because they are "gross and show your butt".  I love her innocence. :-)

So now I am all set in head to toe (excluding boobies since I can't find any moisture wicking non-sweaty boobies) bras.  I am sure someone has them.  Maybe they sell them in the men's section for fat guys with moobs?  Worst comes to worst I will just go without.  That along with the white moisture wicking outfits I bought will ensure I get to ride all by myself on all of the water rides I can!!!!!  I will post pictures as soon as I get home!  I know you are all anxious to see them.

All I know is it when I am shopping for clothes.... it doesn't matter what I want, they have every size but my size available. That's my very sad shopping story.

Have fun mama! Can't wait to see the pics.

Not you.  I bet you smell like a wonderful Sardinian prociutto.  :naughty:

Well I'd like to beat up the little emo fags who take all of the pants in my size! Damned nancyboys with their eyeliner and tightass girl pants.  :lmao:

On a serious note, have you looked online? What about sporting goods stores?

I remember a company that sold something called Coolmax. A friend of mine sent some to her guy in Iraq.

Champion brand can be found at Target and I know they make sports bras.

And I remember something called "Duo-dry" - not sure if that's a separate brand or Champion.

Underarmour is at sporting goods stores but it's expensive.

CC doggonit I hate prociutto! BARF  I would rather eat a paper towel.  I smell like a wonderful salt cured ham or even better yet a brown sugar cured ham. ummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm drooooooooooooooooooooollllllllllllllllllllllll

Well two things there Undies...

A. I have seriously considered using minipads from head to toe to sop up the sweat so dress shields are kinda lower on the gross scale than that.

2.  The thought of having aerosol cheese deodorant made me hungry

I feel you, mamacags. It sucks when they make UnderArmor in size quadruple X for men, but don't even make a decent XL for women. I'm sorry...if the bust measurement for a women's XL is less than 45", there is a PROBLEM with your SIZE CONVERSIONS!

/rant

Anyway, the bra issue. I know Lane Bryant makes sports bras, but I don't know how well they do with the whole moisture-wicking thing. I know I sweat a lot under the girls, so I just use baby powder or Gold Bond or the like, and it helps.

They make non-sweaty undies for fatties??? This I would like to see. I usually wear just plain cotton ones when I want to keep my fat ass cool.

And you know why they don't make that stuff for us fatties, right? Because fat chicks don't go out and exercise or have fun...all we do is sit on the couch and eat.

Uh, no.

Walmart actually has a very large selection for fat chicks.  The only other place around here that comes close is JCPenney.  It is even worse for really tall/big guys.  My hubby is not so much fat as he is just football player big.  There is only one store in this area where he can buy dress shirts and pants for work.  Plus I didn't want to look like a fashion statement as much as I wanted to be comfortable and dry.

Uh, no.

I buy everyday clothes at Wal-Mart.  I find them useful, comfortable, and designed to expectation - and inexpensive.

My favorite Big Bright Yellow Shirt was purchased at Wal-Mart off a clearance rack for $3.00.  It is made from petroleum byproducts.  It's soft as a baby's butt.  It doesn't shrink.  It hasn't lost one shade of its vibrant color, and it would take a blow torch to put a hole in it.

I got grease on it the other day.  I put it in the kitchen sink and sprayed it down with Clorox Kitchen Cleaner.  It's good as new.  It was the best three buck I ever invested.

I have to have dress shirts for work. It's hard finding clothes, and alot of the shirts are "too short"...my new town only has a walmart, no other chains....so I shop online alot, ebay is great for this....but I have found the "Edwards" brand of shirts (used alot by uniform companies) have some great wash and wear oxford shirts that work out great...I ordered the last ones from http://www.affordableworkwear.com/  (Free shipping if you spend $100)

I must admit, I look pretty sharp at work.  :p

At different jobs I have needed specific colors, and Men's Warehouse only sells long sleeved shirts, then you have to pay for them to be tailored into short sleeves,  then you pray they get it right or you have to make an extra trip...ends up being about sixty bucks a shirt for some light weight pieces of crap...LOL....

Hope this helps.

Wal-Mart and Target have their own line of clothes that compete wit hthe Underarmour line and its about half what they UA line cost. Cool Max is very good stuff. I have a pair of their water proof socks and the ywork great. I got them after geting tired of walking around in the woods and having to cross streams and small areas of water while out on patrols in the National Guard. I found out that one draw back was that if the water was ice cold that it wouldn't stop your feet from freezing.
