Thanks, sir; that's what I wanted to know.
So you moved in with your father when you could no longer work but managed to come up with $450.00 a month to help out.
Once your brothers name was on the deed he was responsible for taxes and any mortgage payments.
Your brother paid $32,000 to your dad for his home, you just bunked out there and somehow came up with rent for a place to live.
Is the home worth enough to repay your half brother back for his investment if the selling price is split 3 ways ?
Sorry my good man but this just doesn't fly, to recoup the investment the half brother put in the home would have to sell for almost a million bucks if split 3 ways. Then the taxes and upkeep would be taken into consideration.
I would be darn pissed if I bought a home from my family, allowed them to live there and when they passed away some other family member came in to claim they owned part of the home because they lived on the property.
You have no case, your brother bought the property fair and square and allowed your dad to live on it. You moved in and stayed with your dad but when he died the property belonged to the owner, your brother.
