I enjoy science shows if they're well done and not politically biased. Unfortunately, given who the host is, I'm sure Cosmos will swing wildly left when it suits his purpose of misleading people for political reasons.

In fact, this should be a small queue for you, primitives. We at CC represent the larger spectrum of conservatism. Conservatives just don't have "heads are exploding" moments. So unless you see us over here at CC saying things like "my head is exploding," then conservatives around the world are not having heads that are exploding. You're making it up when you say that, and it makes you look even more stupid than you already are.

I watched it and other than some semi-cool graphics it was nothing special.

The show is covering ground that has been trampled by others, there
is nothing fresh or new.

I love science/space series and will go out of my way to watch them but if
this doesn't pick up in the next 2 episodes, I'm out.

I like/liked "How the Universe Works" on the Discovery Channel. I'm willing
to bet they have already covered everything that will be on "Cosmos".

It's a space odyssey series, written by Carl Sagan. 

According to the Washington comPost, it supposedly reconciles science (big bang theory) and religion.

It's being distributed by FOX on several of their entertainment channels.

     With respect to the DUgasms over Bill Nye, my first exposure to him was on a show called "Almost Live," which was a ripoff of SCTV based in the Pacific Northwest. It is hard to take him seriously as a "scientist," since I'M a scientist, and I don't have to walk like around like some kind of dipshit calling myself "Science Guy."

Frankly, I give the actor who played Beakman in Beakman's World more credit as a scientist. Anyway, Bill Nye started off as a respected mechanical engineer, then once he ended up doing the science guy bit, he became good buddies with Ed Begley Jr. who turned him into an environut.

    All of which to say, people who are productive, who aren't ruled by politics and political culture, don't give a diddly-crap about ANYTHING on TV, let alone something specific on TV. The last time my "head exploded" was when I was a teenage with a horrible pimple. THAT head exploded, and it was gone after a few days.

    I don't think DUmmies comprehend the actual, productive world around them.
