Another gNads Non-News, Raining Crunchy Taco Exclusive

I knew when Obama was here blaming our so called draught on  globull warming, we were headed for a deluge. The man has a knack for saying things that come back to bite him in the ass.

SPECIAL WEATHER STATEMENT
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE SAN DIEGO CA

I again, profusely apologize for the... in this case potential non news. But I figured this might matter to a few million people.

Oh and I profoundly apologize for also quoting the conspiracy site called the National Weather Service.

Essentially all who do prediction, wether in the Public CT side of the business or the private one, agree. We are in for a one two punch in SoCal. Hey, I do hope they are correct, we need the water.

34. If the NWS warns about it, it SHOULD be considered news and heeded.

They don't send out even the Special Weather Statements unless it is going to get nasty. Even sometimes when it does get nasty, they don't necessarily send out the warnings. It has to be a dangerous situation for them to issue watches, warnings, and even Special Weather Statements.

You'd think people would be wise enough to listen to the NWS considering their job is to warn the public about these types of things. Imagine a world where people listened and no one was harmed or killed...which is the whole point of those warnings. I cannot believe people would scoff at a warning like that. It doesn't take much to take a few precautions and prepare for nasty weather. The same ones who scoff at the warnings are the same ones who will need to be rescued or buried later on, because they didn't listen.

I tink it was 2 nights ago that CBS TV NEWS ran a story about the coming floods in draught stricken Commiefornia. They were to get 2 to 4 inches over the next 2 to 3 days....a real flood, with mud slides and all. Hell, we 2 to 4 inches here in an hour or two but this isn't blue state hell. We have to take care if ourselves.

Oh for Heaven's sake! When did more wintery weather have anything to do with global warming? Granted, we're all supposed to call it climate change (as if the climate's never changed in the history of the planet) but the whole movement is based on angst about temperatures rising .002 degrees or whatever. When I was in high school global cooling was all the rage.

And then there's this but I'm sure they'll find a way to denegrate the scientific evidence presented:

Confessions of a Greenpeace Dropout

And they're completely incapabe of understanding that computer models can only analyze the data they're given. The "scientists" who input the "data" were forced to admit the either fudged or left out temperatures that would prove their assumptions about warming were lies based on an outcome they'd already decided. Their own emails to each other are now public so even a DUmmie can see what they did. But I'm sure they've found a rational that fits their Church of the Settled Science of Global Warming Climate Change. If they're really as confident about their "facts" there's no reason they shouldn't debate a heretic scientist who believes the opposite. All say, since it's "settled science" they don't have to debate anyone about it. You'd think, given their absolute belief in their own "facts", they'd welcome the opportunity to put one of these people in their place. As the majority of people don't believe this hoax or don't think it matters, they'd have the opportunity to increase their converts, based, of course on their superior science. And they'd never have to debate one of these heretics again. They'd be able to send deniers to the warm earth hell they flatly deny.

Mr Mannn, My SIL in Walnut creek CA lost her house years ago along with 5-6 of their neighbors.     For some crazy reason the subdivision was built on top of a hill of bare earth.

The hill was a freaking cliff with no trees, rocks or grass to stabilise the soil.   When I asked about mud slides the In-laws laughed at me, seemed it had not rained a lot since the summer of 57 and the in-laws family had to evacuate by boat.

Well now 15 years later it did rain and  was a disaster. I never dared say a word to them except to send my condolences as had I said " are you laughing at me now" would have caused a family war.

California is not a great place to build a home on land that may not have flooded in 20 years, there is always next year or the one after that.

Never can tell anywhere one lives will not be flooded out, We up here North of Everywhere have had some interesting floods in the last 5 years, people live here for 50 years and get the surprise of their lives when it happens.

I would worry when the fires burn out the vegetation holding the ground together and along comes after a couple years of little rain a deluge of water.

Then what becomes of the crops in the field when they are under water ?   Live stock up to their heads and no food ?

Serious problem may be on the way for California or may not, who knows ?

the random and spotty coverage of the nationwide issues around amber alerts, radiation, wind turbines and weather is much appreciated.
You many want to consider hiring staff to augment your efforts. maybe have them report by region.
Come on back here, PW, so I can H5 ya.  :lmao:
Then-Chief Justice John Marshall observed, “Between a balanced republic and a democracy, the difference is like that between order and chaos.”

John Adams warned in a letter, “Remember democracy never lasts long. It soon wastes, exhausts, and murders itself. There never was a democracy yet, that did not commit suicide.”

11. The second storm is coming tomorrow

I expect, after listening to the NWS meteorologist in the morning, for the watches to be raised to warnings. (And I hope to be dead wrong) As I said i a previous thread, the NWS is immensely conservative in issuing warnings. Look at the current image I just posted from satellite.

Intellicast has a nice interactive map.

And of course there is always the NWS.

The warnings from CALTRANS (A non official source according to some here) and my DPW are starting to be on the scary side. Hell, even SDG&E is getting into the warning people game. I wonder if they expect power outages (likely due to wind) all over the place.

If that wind gets cranked up the entire western portion of the country will probably have to worry about flying windmill blades.

Dear God.....Noooooooooooooooo....

Trolleys and Gaslamps are bipeds, quadrupeds or what?

I'm not sure, but I think she's trying to say it's either within trolley/walking distance of the Gaslamp.

Oh, and nads?  You stupid scrunt, there are PLENTY of places in SD that do fish tacos who don't fry them.  Wahoo's is one.  Rubio's is another.  Then there are the 100 stands, bars, etc., who do them as well.

Finally, I did a little looking--SD got DELUGED with a whopping 1.01" of rain yesterday.  A. WHOLE. ****ING. INCH.

I've seen that come down in about 15 minutes here.  Friggin drama queen.  Seriously Tom, what the **** did you EVER see in this Penguin look-alike?
