fizzgig (19,086 posts) Sun Dec 22, 2013, 12:50 PM1. smoked tri tiphusband will have it in sandwich form on rye bread, i will probably roast some veggies for myself. today is the test on the smoker and bread. i'm smoking dad's pastrami on monday and baking his bread on tuesday.

With, or without, mayonnaise, lettuce, and slices of tomatoes?<<<has this idea, which might or might not be correct, that a "bacon sandwich" is different from the old-fashioned BLT.
Around here, a bacon sandwich is different from a BLT in that it doesn't contain lettuce or tomato.
I thought that might be the case, but doesn't that make it, uh, rather bland?
