What is your personal opinion on how the Founders would have felt about nuclear power, space travel, the internet, embryonic stem cell research, and genetic modification of food? Since you seem to have a line directly into what exactly the Founders would have felt acceptable and unacceptable about our modern society.
I imagine the same way they would have felt about steam engines, cars, electric lights, refrigerators, telephones, etc. All started by individuals' ideas, free from government interference.
As far as "genetic modification of food", that's nothing new, it's been going on for thousands of years. Back then, it was called "selective breeding" and "cross-pollination".
But I'm sure they would look on the government as it is today and wonder why the hell they even bothered, because I'll bet you any amount of money you care to loose THIS is NOT what they ever intended for government to be nor become.
When I said "I grew up on a farm", I meant,
I GREW UP ON A FARM!. Not spent summer vacation there, I worked there, played there, lived there. I milked the cows (all 130 of them, twice a day, EVERY DAY), plowed the fields, harvested the crops, and spent most of the winter feeding those same cows I just milked and repairing equipment to be ready come spring. In between all this, there was the constant battle to comply with STUPID government regulations made by overeducated morons who had no idea which end of a cow to put a hay bale and which end to use a shovel.
It's one of the reasons I quit farming: the constant bullshit of having to put up with ever changing regulations. I could handle drought, floods, heat, cold, even the markets. But politicians, expecialy DIMRAT politicians, made my life a living hell.
So don't give me this "I spent time on a farm, so I know something about agriculture" bull! I've forgotten more in the the 30 years since I've farmed than you could ever know, and you don't know SHIT about agriculture, DUmbass!
