I'm sure he'll make a very strong showing, even on the strength of a single thread.

It depends a little on one's feeling about the DOTY criteria.

You could say it's primarily based on the DUmmy's proven depth of lunacy, and that's one of Doug's strong points.

Or, you could say it's mostly determined by how much entertainment the DUmmy has provided over the year, in which case a single-thread DUmmy doesn't fare as well.

Of course if you combine the two nadin has no peer, but Doug, and Amber, should do very well.

It's an "either/or" case, although if it includes both, it's so much the better.

Either a primitive with a one-time bombastic explosion of really colorful stupidity, or a primitive who provided a steady diet of comedy all year long.

Both standards are equal, and it's up to the voters each year to decide which one's more important.

Dougie has been telling people to go to hell in hundred of threads over many, many years. His iggy list puts gNads to shame.

To clarify, he has become irrelevant to DUmmies. I have no doubt he will be in the top 5 for DOTY.
