1. Okay, really?

That's what bothered you? None of the sights made up for that?

Or is this pure sarcasm? I can't tell.

2. No. the trip was awesome.

I got to see my friends. Just surprised Coors isn't there.

Yes, it bothered me as I don't drink other beers.

Why do you have to be mean?

3. Okay, sorry. I'm just envious that you got to go to Europe

and I'm stuck here and I don't even like beer.

4. Im originally from Europe, thats why i had to go see friends and family

It was a legitimate concern. I don't do good with strong beer and I don't drink liquor.

Oh, boo-****ing hoo.

When franksolich was younger and greener in judgement, franksolich drank a lot; too much.  My favorite beers were Coors Light, Olympia Light, Tuborg Light; wouldn't touch anything heavier.

I also spent three winters in Europe during those years.

Never once did I whine about their beer, ale, stout.  It was what they liked, I was only a guest, and it would've been bad manners to disparage their tastes, and whine that mine should be catered to.

What is it about primitive, who think the world's supposed to adjust to them, rather than they to the world?

I'm sorry, but that's just astonishing.

This sounds like complaining about not being able to find Wonderbread, Velveeta Cheese and Hershey bars to me.

10. That's because they drink real beer

^^^Oh, shut the **** up, primitive.

Coors Light, &c., &c., &c., is just as much "real" beer as any other beer.

It's just a matter of taste.

13. Seriously! My husband and I were in Germany a few years ago and we were in Munich, at a bar drinking very local beer brewed in a very old brewery that we'd never ever be able to get in the US, and this American sits a few seats away from us and asks the waitress if they have Budweiser. Well, there is an Austrian beer called Budweiser that is totally NOT USA "Bud". SO she brings him that and he has a fit. "No no no, BUDDD-WYYY--ZERRRR" he says, very arrogantly. She says "THATTTT ISSSS BUDDDVYYYZERRRR..." very sarcastically back to him and she goes to the bar and brings the bottle back. Oh he was like NO way, no how, I don't know what you're pulling over on me, I'm an american and I want American beer, BUDWEISER and the bartender, who's had it about up to his neck by now says very nicely and with the most awesome German accent ever "oh Sorry sir, she misunderstood you. She thought you said Budweiser, which is what she brought you. See, what you are asking for is translated roughly to "Stale Dog Piss," and we do not allow that to be imported to our country. So very sorry about that. We can, however, offer you authentic beer in its place, if you'd like...."

It
was
****ing
awesome

Asking for horrible non-beer Beer in Europe, and then getting annoyed that it's not served? That's rich.

I have no doubt, madam, that when you were living here in Nebraska, certainly alien territory, you appreciated that we do our own things our own way, and like our own things our own way.

I'll bet a hundred bucks you never once said, "Oh, but we do it better in California."

We have manners.

You know, I went to Boston six times during the late 1980s, early 1990s, for two weeks at a time.

Never once did I complain about that stupid round hard bread with holes in it; they like it, I was a guest, and so best to be polite.  Never once did I whine about the foul air of Boston.  Never once did I point out the decreptitude of Boston.  Never once did I say, "Well, we have better food in Nebraska, than you guys do here in Boston."   &c., &c., &c.

We have manners; the primitives don't.

Holy shit.  Talk about throwing pearls before swine, of all the things that are FUBAR in Europe, beer isn't one of them.  Even French beer is immeasurably better than the swill she was seeking.  And Munich, of all places, in Fest season, too.

It's not like she was in Bloomington, IL for a week and the only beer available is Miller or Coors Light.

Drinking domestic beer in Germany is like going to Paris and eating at McDonalds.

I learned how to brew beer and did it for a living because Bud,Miller, and Coors products are of poor quality and flavor. Bud in the states stole its persona from a brewery of similar name in Czech republic.  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Budweiser_Budvar_Brewery  I know Wikipedia sucks but this one is close to the history. I was SO happy when Bud was bought by InBev... they deserve it ....I hate Budweiser they suck what they try to put over on the small brewery's with their pull for laws and such. If you like lighter beers there is a world of REAL beer out there that is not brewed with fillers and adjuncts, by real brewers and not "beer" factories where what they produce is a true waste of grain.

Okay, this has to be a mole.  He was in Munich during Octoberfest and is complaining that he couldn't get Coors?  My god, I just got back Sunday after sitting in the Pauliner tent, and almost cried when I got home and realized that even if I could get some of the beers I was drinking over there, they just wouldn't be as fresh.

Perhaps I'm un-American, but there is no way in hell that Bud or Coors or Hamms can compare to 90% of the beer in Germany. It's like a German who comes to Texas and complains there isn't any good schnitzel in a good steak restaurant.

Frankly, this is one of the few times I would agree with a host of a foreign restaurant getting snotty at the guest's desire for an inferior product.

Many will remember that DUmpangelnumbers is a mentally-ill woman who lives with wealthy parents.

A few months ago she was complaining about being taken to Hawaii.

In the past she's been active in the DUmp loonybin, and I think they take her on their trips because she isn't able to take care of herself.

On this one, though, I have to sympathize with her a little.

On occasion, I've had the same problem in eurotrash countries, running into people who claim to have never even heard of Rolling Rock.

The dark swill they drink over there isn't worth using as garden fertilizer.

When I drank, I used to absolutely love the beer variety in Germany, where even the little village we were stationed in (Bindlach) had its' own brewery.  4000 people and it had its' own brewery.  'Course, you couldn't get their beer outside of Bindlach, but they had their own brewery.
