diabeticman (959 posts) Need to find a new place to Rent: Looking for DU help. Last edited Sun Aug 11, 2013, 05:30 PM USA/ET - Edit history (1)I live in the New Castle PA area. Need to find another place to rent since this landlord basically is flipping out on us because HIS place is falling apart. Our lease is up in January and I am looking to get a place line up. I am looking for a one or 2 bedroom place. I NEED All utilities included in the rental price and is pet friendly. My wife is debating on putting an ad in the paper. We won't trust code enforcement after they said this guy we are currently renting from was a good landlord. We are willing to pay $550 - $600 That is the most we can go. (Cross with PA group) Changed--"Hoping for" to Need all utilities included--

Water, sewer, electricity, heat, air conditioning and 2 bedrooms,...for $550 a month...should be able to get a nice double door refrigerator box.
I never understood why renters want/expect utilities to be paid. Can't they figure it out? It seems that most of the ones who want stuff paid are the ones looking at the low end stuff. KC
I don't understand it either. If I am the one using the utilities, then why should I expect someone else to pay for them? Plus, if you aren't paying them, then where is your motivation to conserve water and electricity? They are like teenagers, they want to be treated like adults, but don't want adult responsibilities.
More than likely CR they have stiffed one of the utilities and don't wanna pay the bill.
Hmmm, 2 bedroom apt, all utilities inc, pet friendly and all for less than $550 a month? I say the DUmmy should look in...1985? Does that help?
You can get places that cheap about an hour outside of town here, but I wouldn't expect it to be in a nice neighborhood.
The key phrase here:Trashed the old apartment, time to move on?How about you CLEAN your place? Show some respect for where you live?
There are also non-traditional plans that offer pay-as-you-go power. Pay-as-you-go power is designed to help customers who may have credit issues but still need to get electricity. You pay for your electricity up-front for a pre-determined amount of service, eliminating the worries that come with getting the bill each month. For those lucky enough to have a smart meter, there are even pay-as-you-go plans that operate like a prepaid cell phone. With these plans there is no set monthly cycle so you can load up for months at a time, or add money as you need it throughout the month. There are no deposits, no credit checks and no reconnection fees, just the ultimate in flexibility along with a competitive rate.
A trailer IN the dump here will still run you close to $1000/mo. PLUS utilities.
Here you go, DUmmie:
