It's empowering.
Serious question: What would the Proglodytes be focusing their political power on at this moment if not for this verdict?
ObamaCare? The economy? Foreign policy? The NSA? The IRS?
The less said about those things the better.
And it's not just mere distraction. They have no agenda. They have nothing to focus on. They NEED this because without it they are at best impotent, at worse the world will see them for the abject failures they really are.
As I stated in another thread, my wife has heard that the Dems at the national level are really starting to worry about the cumulative effect that these scandals is having--especially the IRS scandal. Let's remember that one of the articles of impeachment for Richard Nixon was the use of the IRS against his political enemies. Yeah, they can say things along the lines of "Liberal groups were under extra scrutiny too," but when one asks for the actual numbers of liberal groups that got this 'extra scrutiny' (which came nowhere
near the extra scrutiny that conservative groups did), one finds that
6 liberal groups were subject to this--and
592 conservative groups got the extra scrutiny from the IRS. Southern Dems are
scared about this, because they see themselves being voted out in their next elections. The Dems in the Northeast might not get the wrath of the electorate, but what just may happen is that the Dems become a distinct minority--one that just may not be able to filibuster a future Republican president's legislation, or one that may not be able to stop a veto of the Democratic president's legislation.
