Hold on one moment, all this put down for the bar girls is just not fair.

I have had in the past life found some wonderfully smart bartenders and servers.   I have seen young girls take orders from tables of 12 all different and at rush hour, no pad of paper, just from memory who ordered what, the price, and get the orders correct.    How do they do that ????

My favorite bartender/ waitress worked up the road and when she looked out the window and saw our Jeep pull in, had our favorite table ready for us with our cocktails waiting when we walked in the door.

Sad this was a neighborhood hang out, closed off bar and eating section for smokers.  When the LAW changed the smokers not allowed, the restaurant closed down due that 80% of their customers were smokers.     

These small bars that served food hired the local people that was so much like the TV sit com filmed in Boston, when you walked in everyone knew your name, they are gone now,  but, if one owns a bar and grill, it is better to hire smart people then a beautiful bubble head that cannot make change.

I just checked the dossiers; there's a lot of new stuff from the past six months that needs put into the appropriate places--including 23,467 new ones of the CalPig primitive--after which I'm sure the Sandhills forum is going to get heavily trafficked again.  But gimme time; maybe this weekend.

Ignore the old guy in the picture.  He's a dilettante and can be silly at times, but generally I leave him alone, I don't feature him in the DUmpster, out of respect for the one single character non-flaw he has.

For whatever else he is, he's got impeccable taste in women.

I dunno about any other male here, but when I look at her, I see grace and class and elegance and style oozing out of every pore.  If she weren't already taken, franksolich'd take her in half a second.

That's where the smell test comes in.  I don't think any alleged women at DU (The few idle lower-upperclass kept women aside, two of which come to mind and who would not be caught dead actually 'Working' to pay their bills) would pass the 'Do it smell rotten yet?' test.

When going through those that haven't been dossiered yet--but will be--I happened to take a closer look at Marc's wife--he's the DFW primitive, the pal of the now-embalmed Helen Thomas.

You know, there's much to be said for the exquisite delicate features of a British wife, as compared with her hard blunt coarse Teutonic features.  It's the difference between a Fabrege egg and a.....rock.

I guess I'm perplexed...what kind of a bar would she be a shot girl in? A hole in the wall type of place full of a bikers on crack? I mean I wouldn't apply to be a shot girl not thinking myself young enough, fetching enough especially for what bars look for, and only really social when I feel like it(which isn't going to work if you have to be on your game all the time when you have to work). Looking at this picture and thinking of the job applied for well it kind of reminds me of those really awful tryouts on American Idol where the people really think they can sing. Too MUCH self esteem and that explains why their world comes crashing down when things that break that esteem down happen. Just...wow...I guess.
