Judge This Chair (Real Chair)
« on: June 15, 2008, 03:42:41 PM »
We need a new chair for a special spot in the living area.

What do you think of this chair?

The fabric photographs b/w but it is really a black/cream color.

What do you think of the chair ?
It is said that branches draw their life from the vine. Each is separate yet all are one as they share one life giving stem . The Bible tells us we are called to a similar union in life, our lives with the life of God. We are incorporated into him; made sharers in his life. Apart from this union we can do nothing.

Depends on what the rest of your furniture looks like.  Can you post a picture of your other furniture?

That chair scares me.

I like the chair. The other furniture pieces are traditional?

Are you calling me tasteless or ghey?  I'd rather be accused of being tasteless.

My house is sort of tasteful modern Addams Family style.  I have the framed vinyl records and such all over.  Odd pieces that match because they are odd.  Some antiques.

I like this chair.  My wife could care less.  She pays absolutely no attention to any decor.  I could take down a wall and she wouldn't notice.  She is no help.

The really odd thing about this chair is it is $149.00 at Wal-Mart.

No good then, Demonic Underwear.

The chair would clash with the rest of the room.

Better luck picking out some other style, sir.

Wrong, we just don't have "your" taste.

The room has an eclectic feel, so I'd say that the chair would fit in.

BTW, I like the picture on the wall.

From a woman's perspective: Does this chair go with my ass?

From a man's perspective: Does this chair make my ass comfortable?

I think it would tie in with the other colors, especially the window treatments.

But it might not match with that beautiful green and white comforter. Was that a wedding gift?

Just photoshop the chair into the other picture, then we will know for sure!

BTW, I like the picture on the wall.

It's a 1970's original.  I saved it from the dumpster during an office building remodel a few years ago.

The Lord's Supper (on the other wall) is over 100 years old.  The photo below that is off my aunt and uncle (aunt died before I was born).  It is one of those hand colored photos they use to do back in the 1940's.  The frame it is in is over 100 years old.  It has the original beveled glass.  I've been offered $300.00 for that frame.

No, no, no.

Demonic Underwear obviously, at least subconsciously, prefers the metallic-and-overpadded look.

This chair would not do at all.  Not at all.

That is actually a gawd-awful king size bedspread we've had since the avocado shag carpet days.

I love older kistchy items.  I'm about to get a set of giant wooden fork & spoon, as well as an old rotary pay phone from my mom.   My dad gave me a clock that was his grandfathers that on the outside of the glass is women wearing dresses and inside they're wearing lingerie.
