See, with the drill, you don't have to be concerned about dropping it.  That's why I do up-down so I get at least one side to hang on to without getting butter all over my hands.

Big end left hand, little end right hand, nibble 3 to 4 rows of kernels at a time right to left, rotate and repeat.

I do the same.   :cheersmate:  However, most of the time I cut it off the cob because I cook for people that don't like eating corn on the cob.
