Some people think it is a money laundry front group.
http://www.reddit.com/r/cringepics/comments/1e9tk2/so_amys_baking_companys_facebook_page_is_having_a/c9ygmjc

This gets interesting.

Oh WOW this does get interesting every day.    More and more I want to go check out this place, I have eaten at some strange places but this seems to be the top of a fun night out.

Will the FBI or a SWAT team come in when I am in the middle of eating store bought Ravioli ???? Will the owners come over to cuss us out if we send back a dish for any reason ?????

Much more fun then going to a nice place that is so boring and everything runs well.  Will we be arrested if we order, the food never comes yet are told we have to pay for something we never got ???

Now that we have a heads up on this place, I would really enjoy watching the antics of the owners, must say had I not know idea what to expect, just wandered in off the street, most likely I would pee my pants. [ from laughing at all the crazy stuff.]

On the other hand I do wonder if any of this is real, perhaps Ramsey walked into a restaurant that wanted him to think the owners were crazy just to get publicity so people like me would come into it to see the SHOW.   I also wonder about the two female servers that were all too willing to tell the Nation they were being ripped off illegally with their tips.

Something is just not right here, I tend to thing it is a scam of some sort.   Sorry I believe Ramsey is in on the scam to boost his ratings.

They are getting so much attention right now, I think a lot of people will go there out of curiosity.  Maybe they will get popular just out of the entertainment value....   :-)

I watched it twice.  I've seen some crazy restaurant owners, but she takes the cake.

Ramsey didn't help her.  He said at the end of the show that in doing almost 100 of these shows, this is the first time he had to walk away.

Wow, that amazes me. I know he's come close to walking away and even, after editing, may have (but not shown it) because of the amount of drama that they tend to put into these shows through that crafty editing.

But I never would have believed that this was the first one he walked away from.

Ramsey needs ratings to keep his show on the air.  Interesting how he needs drama and a [ I came in to save them and all lived happily there after].

No I do not trust this Ramsey, who would want to watch a program that has no high drama without lots of action lots of tears.

I call BS on his shows, especially his Hotel Hells that show case the out dated rooms but never show the bed bugs, or take an ultra violet light to find protine stains on carpet or bedding.

Ramsey's got a very, very good pedigree as far as the culinary arts are concerned. I read an interview in some magazine -- might've been Time, I forget -- and he's cut his teeth on the hard jobs in Paris and London and other hard-nosed places. His restaurants have earned Michelin 3 stars 15 times, and 14 are current. This is an incredible achievement in the culinary world.

But all that said, yeah, the drama has to be manufactured if it isn't already there. And Ramsay has to do what he has to do to stay on the tube.

Other Side of Amy’s Baking Company Controversy in Scottsdale To Soon Be Told

SCOTTSDALE, AZ. MAY 15, 2013 -- Amy’s Baking Company will host a Grand Re-Opening on Tuesday night, May 21, following unflattering portrayals on national television.

Customers will be able to decide who is correct: a famous celebrity chef or the marketplace that has supported the small, locally-owned business for six years.

When re-opened, a portion of proceeds will benefit a charity organized to bring awareness to cyber bullying.

Seating is limited. Reservations may be made by emailing sjones@rosemoserallynpr.com.

Diners will also have the opportunity to meet, and judge for themselves the character of owners Amy and Samy Bouzaglo, who have devoted their lives to and earn their living from their small restaurant. The Bouzaglos have been married for 10 years, after Sammy emigrated from Israel.

The owners will likely be holding a press conference before the Grand Re-Opening and answer falsehoods depicted on a reality television show, including assertions that the restaurant confiscates tips from servers.

In fact, wait staff is paid $8-$14 per hour, two and half to nearly five times the standard hourly wage for servers.

Questions will also be answered about what happened to their Facebook page.

Amy’s Baking Company was recently featured on the hit PBS show “Check Please” and has received A+ reports from CBS 5 for kitchen preparedness.

“We are very upset by what has taken place, apologize about the acrimony that has ensued but now must fight back to save our business. We hope and believe much good can result from what has transpired. We ask the public to keep an open mind as we begin to tell our side of the story,” Samy Bouzaglo said.

I love Gordon Ramsay. Another on I like is Robert Irvine's "Restaurant Impossible".  It has a similar format, but he shows a little more on decorating the restaurant, many are real dives.

The owners choose to be part of these reality shows because they are in trouble. IMO, it doesn't matter if they go under after a show, because that's where they were headed in the first place.  If the show helps them turn it around, or they are able to get a few bucks selling it, then they made a good decision.

Amy of Amy's Baking Company belongs in a mental hospital.  There is something seriously wrong with that woman.

I read that many restaurants that appear on Kitchen Nightmares fail within a year. They were endanger of failing from what I remember watching.

As for Amy, I think she could have Borderline and Narcissistic Personality Disorder. Those cannot be really treated.

Borderline Personality Disorder
http://behavenet.com/borderline-personality-disorder

(1) frantic efforts to avoid real or imagined abandonment.
Note: Do not include suicidal or self-mutilating behavior covered in Criterion 5.
(2) a pattern of unstable and intense interpersonal relationships characterized by alternating between extremes of idealization and devaluation
(3) identity disturbance: markedly and persistently unstable self-image or sense of self
(4) impulsivity in at least two areas that are potentially self-damaging (e.g., spending, sex, Substance Abuse, reckless driving, binge eating).
Note: Do not include suicidal or self-mutilating behavior covered in Criterion 5.
(5) recurrent suicidal behavior, gestures, or threats, or self-mutilating behavior
(6) affective instability due to a marked reactivity of mood (e.g., intense episodic dysphoria, irritability, or anxiety usually lasting a few hours and only rarely more than a few days)
(7) chronic feelings of emptiness
(8) inappropriate, intense anger or difficulty controlling anger (e.g., frequent displays of temper, constant anger, recurrent physical fights)
(9) transient, stress-related paranoid ideation or severe dissociative symptoms

Narcissistic Personality Disorder
http://behavenet.com/narcissistic-personality-disorder

(1) has a grandiose sense of self-importance (e.g., exaggerates achievements and talents, expects to be recognized as superior without commensurate achievements)
(2) is preoccupied with fantasies of unlimited success, power, brilliance, beauty, or ideal love
(3) believes that he or she is "special" and unique and can only be understood by, or should associate with, other special or high-status people (or institutions)
(4) requires excessive admiration
(5) has a sense of entitlement, i.e., unreasonable expectations of especially favorable treatment or automatic compliance with his or her expectations
(6) is interpersonally exploitative, i.e., takes advantage of others to achieve his or her own ends
(7) lacks empathy: is unwilling to recognize or identify with the feelings and needs of others
(8) is often envious of others or believes that others are envious of him or her
(9) shows arrogant, haughty behaviors or attitudes
