Today is the day I could officially retire and collect SS
My Father and Brother both died before they could. Or wanted to.

Today is the day I am officially an old man.

Today is the day I never ever expected to reach.

Today I realize the two minute warning is fast approaching and I missed a lot of life's half-time show.

But I helped raise a beautiful brilliant daughter (who is on her way to Columbia for an accelerated masters' degree), saved a LOT of furbabies, and made a whole bunch of folks smile for one reason or the other. I also lost a whole lot of friends who I never expected to outlive and I miss them and the fact they aren't here to celebrate with me.

I made it.

And the Republicans can't take that away from me.

See ya later.

They died to get away from you.

still working, and not collecting either SS or Medicare. He doesn't make a lot of money, but just likes his job. If a person wants and can continue to work, why not? Should be up to the individual, not forced either way.

Stop trying to fit into the conservation when you're an idiot. It make you look DUmb.

until I was 71. And then I was laid off. It was nice while it lasted. I had a paycheck and a SS check. And you do not have to pay taxes on SS.

Another one ready for the worms.

social security disability when i was 50 -- had to really fight for it. when i reached age 65 and 8 months (my full retirement age) it turned into regular social security at the same amount.

last year my husband passed and my SS went up about $700 because i'm getting survivor benefits.

Your husband is happier now.

Like all advice from the DUmp, .......bad.
For them, bad advice is better than none at all.  :lmao:
Then-Chief Justice John Marshall observed, “Between a balanced republic and a democracy, the difference is like that between order and chaos.”

John Adams warned in a letter, “Remember democracy never lasts long. It soon wastes, exhausts, and murders itself. There never was a democracy yet, that did not commit suicide.”

For them, bad is the best they have.

Bad advice
Bad choices
Bad relationships
Bad policies
Bad drugs
Bad hygiene
Etc., etc., etc.

LMAO
When you are the beneficiary of someone’s kindness and generosity, it produces a sense of gratitude and community.

When you are the beneficiary of a policy that steals from someone and gives it to you in return for your vote, it produces a sense of entitlement and dependency.
