This could get bad -However, I expect Susan Rice to fall on her sword to protect Obama and Clinton. And after neither one of them are relevant any longer, Rice will make it all back on a book deal.
I don't think Rice falling on her sword will help. She was responsible for helping with the cover up, but the hearings are mostly about the inaction of the boy king's regime and the death of Americans that could have been prevented with the security that was requested several times and denied. And refusing to send in trained military who were close enough to at least prevent the second attack. The cover up is critical, but what happened in Benghazi is the main issue.
The tragically ironic part is, had they just sent in the requested for securty, the whole thing may have turned out to be a "minor squirmish" (or bump in the road, if you prefer) that really could have been blamed on the video because it would've been so short lived. Or having that presence may have deterred Al Qaeda into looking for a different target.
I don't have any idea how many security forces different embassies have. I'd bet most Americans don't. So if there were 50 Marines standing guard who "quickly put out the fire on a violent protest over a movie", I wouldn't have known the difference. By denying Ambassador Stevens' request, they caused the death of Americans serving THEIR administration on AMERICAN soil (unless under 0bama embassies aren't considered "our" soil anymore) and set in motion the dominoes that (hopefully) will bring down their administration and permanently damage Hillary's chances of sitting at the big boys' desk. Had she bothered to put on the balls of all the men she's had in a lock box all these years & sent in people with big guns & jets with big ass missles she would have gone a long way in proving to the LIV she had the cajones to make the hard decisions.
The MSM can't ignore this, though they'll try as hard as they can to make the country believe the embassy was attacked by a small band of independent agents brandishing Qtips. This is not "just sex", it's dead Americans that easily could have been prevented. They weren't having a conference call with Egypt while eating pizza, no one was having phone sex with an intern, they were either watching Americans die in real time or jetting off to Vegas to hang with Beyonce and JayZ. The worst CinC the history of the country was completely unavailable for hours and not once did he bother to get a report on what was happening. This isn't even the cover up of a burglary. Americans can ignore a lot of things but American deaths that could have been prevented, even low information voters will be angry and horrified when they hear the facts. We're still a patriotic country...evidence of that can be found in Boston and the spontaneous shouts of USA and flag waving from citizens and college students in what is one of the more extreme liberal enclaves in the country.
