Now, I'm not certain what kind of math you might be doing, but an Obama deficit of 5.398T is quite a bit more than 1.3T - and about 10 times Obamas promise of dropping the deficit to 533B.

Wrong isn't what your map shows.  Most of the states are similar to what the Tax Foundation numbers suggest.  ME, GA, and AK are the ones that seem to differ the most.  There are clearly different calculations in the two sets of numbers, but the general results still show that the blue states overall subsidize the rest.  Like in the Tax Foundation numbers, my own state of MN, as well as NJ, is a major contributor to the federal treasury, while MS is among the biggest takers. 

The Vegas fan charmer's state of North Carolina is obviously a taker state, as is every red state except for TX and, on this map, GA and AK, whereas the Tax Foundation has the last two receiving more in taxes than they pay.
