Seriously, who the hell wouldn't freak the hell out if you crashed your car down a ravine and when you regained consciousness you saw the pumpkin troll squatting over your body trying to administer first aid? I personally think all the Nads stories are the insane scribblings of a shut in who wishes her life was something that it is not. She probably took a "rock climbing course" in girls scouts 40 years ago and really liked it, so in her demented twisted mind she is a mountaineer. Come on, the DUng Heap attracts all kinds of sick weirdo freaks, from the posts I'm guessing about 80 per cent are medicated shut ins on government handouts.
Added remarks: Notice how she is always reminding people that she was in the rescue squad? Notice how she likes to tell people that she's done "military service"? But her definition of military service is that she was a ambulance driver in the Mexican drug war. I've seen her say things that she wants people to address her as a "veteran". Notice how she is a pretend journalist? All delusions of a crazy person, I'm wiling to bet she barely sticks her head out of her hidey-hole. And I'll damned sure put money on that she's not married and that she's making that all up too.

29. Jesus, where to start for basic rope handling safety violations

When doing rescue rappel we avoided doing the jumps...it is really not healthy for the rope.
Ok, if we had to, we did...I retired a rope after one of those. Trust me, it was not healthy for the rope, even though it looked fine...it was retired into segments it was cut to practice knot tying.
I guess we rescue workers are scaredy cats. This is reason 1 why I do not do anything involving a rope/ mountaineering gear that I have no personal contact to the handling log.
