I was in high school when ERA (Equal Rights Ammendment) was going around for a vote. At the same time, President Carter brought back Selective Service for a potential draft. When the girls realized that Equal Rights accross the board meant that they could be drafted too, they suddenly became more traditional in their beliefs.

What the heck is up with all the DU threads talking about "Benevolent sexism" or whatever term hey came up with for it? Why is it suddenly such a popular topic there?
Oh, and DUmmies, I'll continue holding doors open for everyone, not because of some desire to feel superior over women or whatever the heck you think is motivating these evil "Benevolent sexists," but simply because it's the polite, gentlemanly thing to do.
