Thank you I don't normally start threads of my own but in this case I felt it to be necessary. I've noticed a multitude of threads mocking the thought of benevolent sexism with trivial bullshit. Most of this trivial non sense is about holding doors open for others. If that's all that you've taken away from the discussion you missed a lot. It's time to stop trivializing this because your personal feelings may be hurt. Lets look at it from a logical point of view if you treat someone differently because of their gender than yes that is sexism regardless of how good your intentions. Yes I know this is where you want to insert door comment here but its not about holding the damn door open go ahead and do so that's called being a decent and polite person. I don't think anyone is gonna refuse male or female. All I'm asking is some common sense and truly read whats been written its not about a damn door or anything else so trivial. I noticed a lot didn't want to listen to the females who said basically the same so maybe you'll listen to another male.

When someone refers to themself as a male I believe they do so because they can not make the case that they are a man.
And yes there is a difference, a child can be male, but a child is not yet a man, and neither are any of the DUmmies.

This nonsense that you are somehow a sexist pig if you treat women differently is insane.
First of all women and men are different, you can't change that fact it is how it is and we were born different. This nonsense that the only difference is what we have between our legs gets on my nerves.
Secondly the same women who demand equal treatment will throw a fit if you do. Don't believe me? Try burping or farting in front a feminist and tell me they act the same way that a man would. You can't demand equal treatment then still expect exceptions to equality when it suits you. You are either equal or you are not.

Then to top it all off these same woman can treat men differently than they treat women and see no problem there. They are blind to their hypocrisy. You can't demand that we don't treat you differently then turn around and treat us differently.

I don't know what the door holding reference is about, But I do it all the time, regardless of the sex and/or age of the person I am holding it for. Its just being polite.

BINGO...equality is only demanded when it is beneficial,as soon as they have to do something unpleasant that being a female has exempted them from they quickly become "old fashioned"

I got in this same argument with a female friend on facebook whose gone off the deep end in the last few years. She was all girl power/female bosses rock crap and when I engaged her talked about how as an attractive woman she gets hit on(yes, I think she was trying to goad me--I could give a shit--women are catty like that and thankfully my self-esteem doesn't rely on the opinion of bitches who contradict themselves since they were slobbering all over your various features a few days before

). Anyway, my point there was she thought men treated her different too and I told her men share crude, sexual humor in front of each other--they actually were treating you with the same respect. She continued on, but I could tell she was getting worked up. I told her I preferred men as bosses because they were generally far more straight forward about expectations and negotiated in good faith in my experience. I found female bosses to be manipulative, game players who would never be straight with you because they didn't want 'conflict' it could bring. no thanks and anyway I like fart jokes and crude humor. Unless you are around the right group of women, you can feel like you are watching your back looking for the knife to go in. I hate that shit. Women can be their own worse enemies.

Zip it, queer. There is nothing logical about your groveling and I refuse to be lumped into a group labeled "male". I'm a man, I treat all with courtesy, I treat women with respect and dignity, I act the way my mother taught me and I will always act accordingly around the fairer sex.

If you DUmp bitches don't like it, understand that wanting to interact with a man like you are one will probably get you a quick demonstration as to how "equal" we aren't. You may have the DUmmie "males" cowed, but not the rest of us.

My wife said one of the reasons that she loves me is because of my "benevolent sexism".
And my wife isn't exactly a barefoot and pregnant in the kitchen type women either.
Though she is barefoot, pregnant and in the kitchen as I type this.

She told me that yes she can do all the typical man things around the house, but she is happy that she has me to do those things.
She doesn't feel degraded in the least by my "benevolent sexism".

Since my wife is happy with the deal she has the DUmmies and the feminazis can kiss my ass, my job is to please my wife and if she's happy I won't change a damn thing.
