japple (4,075 posts) Sun Feb 24, 2013, 06:11 PMQuestion about falafel. I made my first batch today--it's in the fridge now.Later this evening, I'll scoop it into balls and fry it. The recipe says to use 3" of oil to fry them. Can I use a much smaller amount of oil and just pan fry, turning them when they are brown on one side?

I do a falafel every day.Push the lever, and it goes round and round, the disappears. It's kinda like a brown trout you really don't wanna catch.I think this is why liberals like to use flies, when fishing.
Falafels are delicious.
I just don't believe all these old women are familiar with cooking falafel. I don't think it is hard or anything - it just makes me laugh at how they pretend they are such gourmands. ETA: Not that falafel is gourmet or anything. It's street food. I just don't think half of them know what all these dishes are.
I wouldn't admit that even if I though so after skul's post.
They're fritters... they're supposed to be deep-fried.Pan-fried falafel.
It's a multicultural thing...probably from watching all those halal non-infadel cooking shows.
I have to admit Falafel King restaurant in Boulder, CO makes an awesome sandwich, I go there every time I visit my dad.
I wouldn't admit that even if I thought so after skul's post.
