This may sound odd but it came to mind that the Muslim faith is much like breeding cattle .
You buy a few cows and a bull for a big price. Each calf that comes from the bull is worth good money. Some how the neighbors Bull sneaks in and inpregnants a couple of cows. The time of gestation and the up keep of the pregnant cows that takes months to produce a worthless calf is not worth it. To destroy the pregnant cow is cheaper then to buy a new one ready to breed with your bull.
The owner of the wandering Bull now faces a law suit, he cannot afford to kill the Bull so he has to pay you the cost of a new cow. The Bull stays alive to keep the owner in money and both sides feel they got a good deal.
Woman are but cattle to some, not all Muslims. The males are the Bulls and wives and daughers cows.

Back to topic, I can understand why both men and woman are atacked when they are out at night alone and vunerable to the nastys. Now if they are impared by drugs , booze, or have any handicap such as being dressed to attract attention or clothing that does not allow them to RUN, there can be big trouble.
Reason why Nuns in full Nun Suits walk in 2-4's even a Nun can be raped if waking alone. Actually the full cover up of Nuns may set off the perverts, so it goes both ways, too little clothing or too much cover up can appeal to some nastys.
