Not all that long ago I begin writing a piece about a legendary figure. I didn't get too far along before I put it to the side. You know how it is. I got busy doing fictional spirit-guiding and just didn't have time to work on it.
After reading about nadin's parrots I'm beginning to rethink things. She says that they don't do creative fiction writing, but if they did it would be impressive if it weren't so bad and cardboard like. I'm thinking that if the parrots see another bird (well, part bird) like me do some writing it may encourage them. I think most of us can agree that we need more birds writing.
Just keep in mind that the piece I was working on is not really a creative fiction piece. As it is essentially based on revelations by the very subject of the piece it would probably be better viewed as a speculative historical piece. Still, seeing a bird (well, part bird) like me writing anything may give the parrots the incentive to blossom into writers in the own right.
So tell me Cavers, should I continue with the piece? Or just let it flounder in the dust bin?
If the answer is to continue, I'll go ahead a post the first part this afternoon. Then post the remainder as I work on it.
