Maybe you thought DUmmy Dennis the Menace was the craziest of all the crazy DUmpmonkeys.

It starts so innocently, and then suddenly crisis.
It’s really just too awful to live like this.

Misfortune guided us into the discount grocery at noontime.

Busy, people rushing home from church needing things for lunches...people in a hurry to get stuff for packers game day parties...some people, as always...just in a big damned hurry.

Typical discount grocery, some people bagging, but not for every check-out. We carefully choose checkout that has person packing.

Underpaid person packs woman’s groceries in front of us, sees I'm male and then walks away. Four shopping carts with people in a hurry behind us. SO won’t/can't pack as she’s waiting back paying the bill with her credit card.

Cashier starts throwing purchases down the table at me.

Diabetes has robbed me of feelings in the tips of my thumbs…I can’t get plastic bags open. Who cares? No one. I'm old and in their way...

More shit thrown at me. I can't get bags to open

Woman checking us out snarks, "Get with it man."

Many More angry looks.

Crap is really piling up...

Bags can’t get bags filled fast enough.

I just can’t get the ****ING BAGS OPEN!!!!!!!

More shit pushed at me…SO has paid for groceries.

Big pile of stuff waiting to be cleared away into bags.

SO says "You need to hurry up!"

Cashier proceeds to throw next customer’s stuff onto SO’s purchases.

LOTS of faces unhappy with me.

Suddenly overwhelmed with urgent need to slash myself.

I step back and say loudy, “I'm done. I CAN’T do THIS.”

LOTS MORE unhappy faces. Disgruntled voices

My fingernails drag through cheeks, deep scratches, good feeling of hot blood...

I walk away.

1. HereSince1628, I'm so sorry for what you are going through.

Is there anything I can do to help? You provided so much insight to me, and I respect you so much. No one should yell at you like that just because you can't get the bags open. I have the same problem getting those things open, just because they are difficult. People can be very inconsiderate to say the least.

This is all DUmmy HereSincenumbers needs, advice from an officially, professionally diagnosed lunatic!

If a cashier started the next customer before my items were bagged, then  :bawl: would turn into  :bawl: :bawl: :bawl:

The cost of the items I purchased include the overhead cost of baggers and bags.    Unless I am in the self checkout aisle, then my stuff is getting bagged by an employee of the store.

Every store is more than pleased to offer assistance to anyone who would need it. I shop at HyVee and they always ask if I need assistance or curbside service. They have a delivery program for the disabled.

I really do not believe this bouncy. Especially when he claws at his face and bleeds. This is one of the liberal intelligentsia? The elite? One of the smartest people on the interwebs?

Funny, I've never seen this at ANY store.  That cashier would probably have been fired had that been a Wally World or Market Basket.

And DUmmie can't feel his thumbs?  Cool.  I'll drop a bunch of dimes on the floor and tell him to pick them up for laughs.

Calls his wifes EBT card a credit card; uses plastic bags instead of eco-friendly reusable shopping bags; panics doing simple chores adding to anxiety which only compounds the situation; admits he's old and in the way but does nothing to permanently remove himself from the situation; can't tell a believable bouncy.

I call BS.    I do not know of any society that will stand by and watch some old or handi capped struggle.  
Don't matter if they are Black in a neighborhood store of whites or white in a neighborhood store for blacks or Latinos.

The call is for respect toward those you are dealing with.  

Got lost in NC. looking for a place called Snug Harbor.   Stopped at a service station and grocery store and while Hubby pumped in gas I went into the store to find I had found a black hangout.  So big deal, I addressed each man as sir with respect    a few went out to look at my license plate, and finally a customer said to follow her.

She took me to the doorstep of my Granddaughter.   These are the times that make one believe in the goodness of all,  to show respect with no fear, or any kind of finagling is to be respected.  

Actually if I were to move south I just may be happier living among the black community then some of the white community I lived in the past.

I had a moment at Target Saturday.   :-)  I was loading stuff on the conveyor belt and paused to give my son his drink.  Lady behind me starts loading her stuff and it comes all the say down where I can't load the rest of my stuff.  I looked at it, paused, grabbed the customer divider thingy and slammed it down between our purchases and windshield wiped her stuff into the floor.  Then I continued loading my purchases.  No one said a word to me  :-)

It felt great.  :lol:

I also use the reusable bags for one reason only--they hold more stuff. Less trips between the car and house.

If this is true, (which I know it isn't) those are some mean cashiers.

Ours down here load the bags if the bagger walks away to help another customer.

Ditto. I can toss 3 or 4 plastic bags full of stuff from the cart into one reusable. They keep items from rolling around in the truck and when I need to move stuff from the truck to the house I do not have to worry about anything ripping thru the bag.
