Yeah, it was the Mayans, not the Incans, they were hundreds of miles and hundreds of years apart.
No, I don't buy into that stuff. The Mayans themselves were fairly indefinite about what was supposed to happen, only some of them thought it was going to be the Big One. Also, at the time as far as they knew the "World," it was basically the Yucatan Peninsula and parts of Central America to its south, so what's a Mayan 'End of the World' prophecy really worth? And, on top of all that, their entire society collapsed a few hundred years before the Spanish even showed up to wipe out the Aztecs, who pretty much had it coming. If they were such great frickin' prophets, how come they didn't see their own collapse coming and avert it?
