Oh noes! Next thing is furryventions.Just kidding, L looks great. Great costume.
How does she breathe?
My 14 year old daughter went to A-kon today, which is some Anime Convention thingy. Anyway, she wanted to go as some character called Kululu. Here is the picture...So my husband made the head for her. He use fiberglass and a ball to make the shape. Then he used a smaller ball and fiberglass to make the white rounded things where the ears should be. My daughter helped a little on the applying of the fiberglass, the sanding and painting. SHe said people were stopping her and wanting to take pictures with her all day long.
Does she see through those thin horizontal slits ?
May I borrow her helmet the next time I visit? Or will K be willing to make me one?
Great costume. Looks exactly like the picture.
When she first showed me the picture of what she wanted to be I told her no way could we could do it. My husband said right away he could do it. I have no imagination what so ever. Does this mean my child is an Anime Geek?

The first thing I thought of when I saw this was those Star Wars and Star Trek geeks who learn the languages, dress in costume, never go out on dates...that kind of thing. Seriously though, between your quilting and your husbands fiberglass talents, you guys should put on shows at JoAnn stores or something.

LOL I don't think he would put on a show at JoAnn's. He use to design boats, now he designs toys (he is an industrial designer).I am deeply troubled that I have a geek for a daughter.

It was that or midnight basketball. I think she picked a good one.But I'm like you, I don't get the appeal of anime. I work at a library and we have a tone of anime shows that circulate A LOT. It's interesting to watch the trends.
Well I guess it's ok for a 14 year old girl but if she turns 30 and is still into it I'm going to call for an intervention.
