My daughter has been wearing the same clothes for two years... (Hopefully she at least bathes and washes her clothes)

Some of them are falling apart. She also has used cookware from Salvation Army. It's the same for her furniture. My grandson is out of his jeans. He needs new ones. My other grandchild is out of his coat and his clothes are getting tight. My son needs new shoes.  (I thought the SA was forbidden for the DUmmies due to their stance on LGBT)

Money is tight. We don't have a lot. (Prepare for even less, between deficit spending, taxes, and growing government programs like welfare, you will be howling in four years)

Black Friday we will have two paychecks and the sales on that day offer what my family needs.  (Stores offer sales all the time, you need to shop around more, oh wait, let me guess you are boycotting some evil corporate store because some whack job at the DUmp told you too.)

So, yes...I am shopping on black Friday because we will have the money. This will be their Christmas.  (Are you going to spend some of it at *gasp* Walmart?  Always low prices, always)

There will be no high ticket items or electronics like iPads, computers or TV's. This will be a shopping day to fill my family's needs.  (At least you have one priority correct)

Look down on me still? Fine. I don't care, but keep in mind who you are condeming when you look down on the morons who venture out on black Friday to shop.  (I look down on you because you are a DUmmy)

Oh, my grandchildren might get 1 toy a piece under the tree...just more crap they don't need...right? (That depends on the toy now doesn't it.)

If she thinks her money is tight now, just wait until she sees what it will buy four years from now.

Grandma, aka Cyanide spends enough time posting at the DUmp.  Maybe she could get a part time job to help supplement her meager income.  Nah, who would hire a bitter, dysfunctional, barking moonbat, besides it is much easier to sit on your *ss and complain than to try and improve your situation. :fuelfire:

Well now Cyn that sure is some tough shit, you'd think an economic genius like Barack would have gotten that fixed during those two years when he had all of Congress in his pocket, now wouldn't you?

There is no question that the republican Party is 100% responsible for your problem. We MUST institute progressive economic policies so we all can afford the basics and some of the small luxuries. Wealth Tax Reform is our next main focus of legislation and judicial reform to concentrate on.

How can this be? I thought the economic genius of 0bama has brought instant prosperity to everyone. Or is that kind of like 0bamacare where we promise all the good stuff will come tomorrow? So maybe it is the second term when everything starts going well.

She can surely go to Goodwill and get way more clothing and toys than any Black Friday deal right?

What strikes me as odd is that she says her daughter buys cookware and furniture at the SA, but her grandchildren don't have clothes that fit.  The SA's around here are full of clothes, especially in children's sizes, and a good portion of them are in good shape.  I've bought jeans with the tags still on them at thrift stores.

Another source for a coat for the grandson: Ebay: Boy Coat

No matter if this is a bouncy I am very proud that I can find a job and keep it.  I can't imagine not providing for my kids.

Why wait until Black Friday and give your money to the most evil Walmart?  You can go to a local thrift store, Habitat Restore anytime and buy completely serviceable, even fashionable clothing, toys in good repair, dishes, cookware, linens, so on.  I shop thrift stores regularly and save loads of money.  I think someone just wants an excuse to be out and about on BF.

Almost one week out of the Obama euphoria and the sob stories begin.  The closer it gets to Christmas the more poor some will become.

I don't want to hear it.  You voted for Obama Claus, write him a list and ask him to bring you free stuff.

You DUmbasses voted for me and mine to suffer, I don't give a damn about you.

BTW, you can shop online at some of the top stores and get WAY better deals without leaving the comfort of your home. There, I threw an Obama crumb.   :-)

Predictably, the thread degenerates into a Poor War.  It's only just begun, DUmmies.  Also, nobody's hiring an Obama Voter.  They can be spotted a mile away.

Yep was thinking the same thing, Gina. I got a buttload of sweaters recently at the Salvation ARmy since  :-), well, I wanted some 'new to me' ones. I got several and my bill for that a great pair of boots and two pairs of jeans and a pair of dresspants was about 30 bucks. I get most of my teen daughters clothes from Plato's Closet. She got two great pairs of boots for 20 bucks.
Color me skeptical, but I see parents all the time who spend any extra money on themselves and let their kids walk around in rags. I'd have to know her personally, especially with a story coming second hand from a dummie, to believe it's really a hard luck case. I also notice gram and gramps didn't do anything extraordinary to help either--well like maybe shutting internet down for a couple of months to buy the kids cloths if its really that tight.

My budget doesn't sound as tight as they make theirs sounds and I won't be going out on black friday. Even with sales, there is too much temptation to overspend.

One more thing, where is daddy of these kids? Probably another guy who was happy to let the government do his job and the woman goes right along with it and spreads them wide. Our society is sick anymore. Can't even see it's own self-fulfilling prophecies.

Alert the media.

On November 11, 2012, a DUmmy told the truth for the 1st time.
Come to think of it, unions do create jobs. Companies have to hire two workers to do the work of one.
