The gal on the right is "cricket" (indside joke) and is this years Gold Nugget Queen. She's an absolute sweetheart. My daughter? Crazy ass.  :rofl:


They (read SHE) decided to "photobomb" people at Magic Mountain's photo booth.

I have 2 of them.  One is my biological daughter and the other is one we 'adopted' a little over a year ago.  It's a long story but basically she had a really sad home life and now lives with us. 

They are both beautiful girls and I have an entire high school filled with young men absolutely terrified of me.  For reals.  I intend to keep it that way.

Good luck.

I have to watch out for my sisters. Luckily I have one that lives out in the middle of no where so I don't have to worry as much. The other one I have to worry about since she is going to be 13 this year. I need a gun or maybe a hand cannon to protect her from the demons.

Single mom of three daughters.  I used to hand out one of those "date my daughter" applications.  Then I'd tell them, "I'm only half kidding, but I get to decide which half."

Then, all the area dad's told me how to greet the young guys the way they did.  Sit at the table, hat low, sharpening our castration knives.  We also use them to cut hay strings, but so what.  Every kid knew we used them for both.  After a few strokes on the stone, put the knife on the table and spin it nonchalantly.  Never look up, but ask questions.  About trucks, family, school, sports, hunting, their livestock, anything.

That's been a few years and we're all friends now and have good laughs about those days.  We were hard on our kids.

And they survived and are doing well.

It's a rotten damned shame that it's no longer acceptable to allow a kid to have challenges and have him work through his own issues without parents fawning over him or throwing money at the problem.
