They'll seat half the delegates.
They should seat all and only give them half votes. That way the DNC can say "well, we did seat all of you." LOL
Hey! You're thinking like a Democrat.
damnit.
LOL. Nah, they screwed up on this. They should have only cut them half in the first place. But again, if Hillary had dropped out a month or so ago this wouldn't have been a big deal. Or if she, I dunno, raised a stink about it back in August/Sept when they laid down the punishment instead of now when it "benefits" her. *shrug*
there we people here *cough*cough*WEandLauri*cough*cough* that knew this would be a big deal months ago.
the threat to strip them of their delegates should have been just that, a threat. once it didn't work, there should have been an instant plan "B". but doing anything that remotely resembled "disenfranchising florida", in light of democrat rhetoric since 2000, should have set off warning lights in howard deans otherwise unlit head.
it was a LOSER of a play. he's just fortunate that (for one thing) hillary didn't hit the home run she was looking for in IN. this could actually be much, much worse that it is right now.
Agreed. I've thought that Dean screwed the pooch on this one for a few months now.
But again, back when they decided to strip them of all delegates, no one would have thought that the primary season would go on for this long. Hillary herself said it would be over by Super Tuesday.
exactly. hillary lost, IMO, because she thought she would coast to the nomination, and she had no game plan after super tuesday. then she got annihiliated by the biggest thing to hit politics in about a hundred years. I think if she had run the campaign that she ran
since super tuesday
before super tuesday, and even made an effort in all those western and midwestern caucus states, that this would be a very different race right now.
but having said all of that, there are some things you avoid because they just send the wrong message; disenfranchising florida was the wrong thing to do irrespective of the closeness of the primary race. howard dean just screwed that up beyond recognition; he is lucky that it isn't a bigger disaster than it already is.
