Because if God didn't want us to eat animals, he wouldn't have made them out of meat.
I hunt because I love dove and venison meat. It's the challenge of hunting. Self-discipline of being quiet and keeping adrenaline in check. Remembering to breathe, squeezing the trigger.
It's very cathartic in some ways. (I hope DUmmies read tis next part):
My boys are shooting dove seriously for the first time this year. It's a rite of passage. One of many. Teaches them how fragile life is, and how final shooting something is.
It's respect for nature, respect for the tools we use, and respect for ourselves.
