While Rubio would have been a good pick for VP, he really couldn't take it because if he had, the media and OBama's merry band of idiots would have had a field day calling him a quitter and flip-flopper and we would have had a Sarah Palin issue all over again.
Rubio has said time after time, that he did not want the VP spot, as he felt an obligation to his constituents to stay in Congress for a while since they had just elected him.
If he had left after 2 years, when he said he would stay, he would have been compared to Sarah walking away from being governor.
Also, one of the big arguments against Obama is he walked away after 2 years, and no experience. Granted Rubio has more community and state experience than Obama, but it would have negated the argument against Obama.
What this does do, if they get elected and Ryan does a good job, is set up for a Ryan/Rubio ticket which would be excellent.
Ryan is supposed to be an economic genius. Let's hope that enough people will vote for R/R in hopes of getting this country back to fiscal responsiblity, creating jobs, and bringing overseas jobs back to USA. If we can't get R/R elected and Obama gets reelected, we are screwed.
Went and got a haircut this morning and my hairdresser was saying how much she hates Obama, and hopes that with R/R they can take it away from Obama. She's white, married to a black guy, and said she "hates hearing Obama referred to as a black man, because he isn't, he's mixed and that's all there is to it!" This from a woman who has a teenage "mixed" son!
